When Ash wins a League, should all of his friends watch him win/appear?

I'd like to imagine that when Ash does win a League, his friends would at least be notified.

But wouldn't it be cool if they all appeared, or at least be seen watching on TV. Especially, if they are watching the final round or when Ash is holding his trophy.

IDK, if Ash were to win in Ishuu, it just wouldnt seem right to show Iris and Cilan being happy for him, and not all his friends.

They could probably show Misty, May, Dawn, Brock, Tracey, Max, and even Gary or Paul smiling or smirking or something.

It'd be nice if some of them actually appeared to give Ash some moral support, but ummm...IDK lol

I'd like to see them all be shown!...maybe they could visit some time afterwards...rofl if they all get on the same plane XD
 
That would be oshum. *Ash and Misty get on plane from opposite sides, then see each other* "OMG it's Ash!" "OMG it's Misty!" And that ship is proven.
 
"Paul smiling or smirking"? Somehow hard to imagine, but yes, I would certainly want to see them all at least watching Ash on TV.
 
I really hope so. Even if it's just a silent watching-tv cameo, I'd really love that so much.
Though I still believe Brock should actually be there in person if Ash wins a league - come on.

As for the thread I'll say only a cameo on TV but not them showing up.
 
That would be so great!! I would get so excited (I'm not even kidding- I would squeal and jump around, probably be a little clumsy and knock things over while I'm at it :)))

I would do that whether they SHOW UP or I just see everyone watching the tv. I miss the older characters (Misty, Brock, May, Max, Gary, Paul, Dawn), I would probably jump up and down for hours if they actually showed up in Isshu. I doubt they will though- I'll beg anyway ;))

Them watching the tv would be enough for me...
 
It would be plain wrong if they don't even get a cameo watching TV when he wins. The writers must have some sort of heart. But, in all honesty as cool as it would be for them all to be there watching if Brock, Misty, May, Max, Dawn, Paul, Tracey, Gary, Oak, Delia are all in the stands watching...it's going to give it away that he wins the league and that would be VERY IRRITATING. I think that after he wins they should definitely go see him but, more likely he comes home to a party with them all there.
 
No. They shouldn't ALL show up. Oak and Delia and Brock. That way, there will be none of this shipping nonsense! Plus everyone knows who Brock is - unless its 10 more years till Ash wins.

I do think, though, that when he wins there should be a small montage of all his rivals. They don't actually have to be there.

If they all show up how could it be a shipping moment? That's why they should ALL be there.
 
Either them showing up or TV cameo. I just want to SEE them cheer him SOMEHOW. Is that to much to ask writers? IS IT? O_O
 
None of them will be there, that's a certainty. I do however think at least Oak and Delia will be shown watching on TV.

As for everyone else, it could go either way but I doubt it. For example if they show that girl with red-hair, won't little kids go, "Who is that? I've never seen her before."

DP episodes rerun on Disney XD. Also I remember them airing on another channel.
Kids Station airs old Hoenn and Johto and Kanto episodes.
Wii Downloads are available.
DVD's are released regularly.

I thought we discussed that previously?
 
I'd love it if they all watched it, mainly his rivals though cuz some saw him as a looser from the start >>
 
I dont see why not.Ash winning a league would be pretty big deal and it would make sense if his friends like Brock,Misty,May etc who use to travel with him comeback to give him support with writers acknowledging their existence being nice gesture from their part.

I would agree if this was usual Ash performance at league losing as usually but when he wins this will leave big impact on story with circumstances being completely different increasing chances of his traveling companions to be there for his big performance.

Using kids lack of knowledge with older characters as reason why they cant return is very weak argument.
Little kids didnt know for example who was Gary either when he appeared in Sinnoh but it didnt stopped writers from bringing him back.
If redhead girl(Misty for those who dont know)returns writers could easily explain in few lines how she is Ash ex friend with who she used to travel explaining why she came back being no problem at all.

Also i thought we covered this before.Thanks to frequent air of reruns on several TV stations which gotpikalisted as well other medias of info like internet,Dvds,older relatives from who they could hear about this make it safe to say how good chunk of today kids already know about older characters and previous sagas.From my expereince i can tell i met some of today kids who actually know everything about original series and Hoenn.
 
In Pokemon Smash, they just recently showed episodes of EP053 and DP062. So, older characters are mostly known by current main audience.
 
Past characters do not show up at leagues. Even Oak and Delia did not show up at either the Hoenn or Sinnoh leagues.

If Ash's mother won't show up I think that says a lot.
 
At least they should show up at a party, celebrating his victory... if the show up at the league maybe it would be blatant obvious that he would win this time xP

And yes, the writers could easily explain that they are his old friends and ex-companions.
 
They ALL should...Ash winning a league tournament will be a monumental thing for this anime...That victory alone will signify either the end of Ash's journey on-screen, or the end of the anime altogether.
