As much as you hate repeats of old D/P episodes

once about 50 episodes have come then there won't be any new episodes for the next several months

umm with the exception of the fact that Japan only has 38 episodes of Diamond and Pearl out and USA is only going up to mid-twenties . . ?

I think he's talking about the fact that most of the Pokemon episodes follow a specific formula:
Ash and friends meet a trainer with a pokemon, Team Rocket tries to steal the pokemon, Team Rocket "blasts off, again".
And the plot doesn't really develop unless Ash is about to have a gym battle or a pokemon contest occurs.

i have no idea but id hazard a guess as some time round the game launch
