With the upcoming Transformers movie, Hasbro and their Japanese counterpart Takara/Tomy seem intent on coming up with as many ways as possible to capitalize on the (presumed) craze. From a massive toy line featuring no fewer than 5 class sizes and at least two sub-categories (JUST for the transforming toys alone) to a dancing/musical Bumblebee to a voice-changing Optimus helmet to transforming stuffed Optimus and Bumblebee (Softimus Prime and Slumblebee) to Optimash Prime. While some of these may have you scratching your head at the marketing behind them, one idea truly stands out as top-quality "what the heck were they thinking." To this extent, I bring you: Transforming shoes from Nike and Takara/Tomy.

Just when you thought Soundwave had a useless alt mode...these appear. I really question if Takara/Tomy has any respect left for the Transformers brand.

Coolest thing ever!!! :0

The Optimus Prime Mr. PotatoHead is cool too. XD

I'm so getting an Optimash Prime. xd

But yeah, some of those are kinda dumb. Speshully the shoes, they're just weird. O.o;
