When should the DLC spoiler policy be lifted?

Hiya everyone!

We were just coming off the coattails of our previous spoiler embargo when they announced the release date of the DLC! Mega Dimension will be released on December 10th.

Like the base game, the DLC will have a lockout period where game spoilers posted outside the prefixed threads (Spoiler/Story Spoilers) must be put under a spoiler tab/blurred using the inline function. You can read more of what that entails here.

However, for the DLC, we are strongly considering shortening the amount of time between release and lifting the spoiler embargo.

We've decided to poll the community on what it wants in regards to the spoiler policy for the DLC. Basically: When would you like us to lift the embargo for spoilers?

We have three options:

1. Policy stays intact for DLC. (Meaning, the embargo will be lifted on December 30th.)
2. Policy is reduced to 2 weeks after release. (Embargo will be lifted on December 24th.)
3. Policy is reduced to 1 week after release. (Embargo will be lifted on December 17th.)

And just as a reminder: If its been officially announced by Nintendo or TPCi, then its fair game for discussion regardless of our spoiler policy. The spoiler policy remains in effect for information that has yet to be announced or unrevealed prior to the DLC's release. For example: Wanna talk about our new Bestie Mega Chimecho or Korrina's wild new look? Feel free to do so!! Any information gleaned from a datamine of the DLC from the base game should be placed under a spoiler tab before and after the release of the DLC, until the spoiler policy is lifted.

Thanks to the results of this poll, we have decided that the spoiler policy for The Mega Dimension DLC will lift 2 weeks after release (December 23rd, 2025 at 15:00 UC)!. More details are within the link.

Please note that our regular 3-week policy is still currently in effect for regular game releases, and even then, it's possible this unique 2-week policy for DLC will only be in place for The Mega Dimension. We've since realized the two lengths might be confusing for some, but since we already reached out about this, we want to make sure we fulfilled the feedback for this time!
