Do you capitalize all the letters or just the first letter. I started just capitalizing the first letter when Gen IV came.
 
When it was still Gen III, I capitalized all the letters. When Gen IV started, I capitalize just the first letter.
 
In my first game (Silver), I only capitalized the first letter. In every other game, I've capitalized the whole thing. When Gen IV came along though, I decided that from now on, I'll only capitalize the first letter again
 
I used to caps all until the 4th gen came then i just capitlized the 1st letter.
 
All caps, because just the first letter looks weird compared to everything else that's important that NPCs say in all caps...

"Storm, take down the ELITE 4!"
"STORM, take down the ELITE 4!"

It just looks better that way to me...
 
First letter only... since Gen III
But, before that, it just made my name look more important XD
"HIRO has just beaten RIVAL"
 
Just the first letter.. Though it looks a lot cooler with all cap..
 
Started using the first letter as caps since gen 3, gen 1 & 2 were all caps. It looks better because its proper literacy.
It looks stupid when it says, PLAYER got $100 for winning!
TYSON:Hi PLAYER I'll give you a 1 million dollar fine if you're late to the lake!

I never understood why every name was in caps in the first place.

Even when I was a kid.
Seriously.
 
All caps, because pausing the game and having the name look different always bugged me.
I also liked seeing when my name was said when people are talking...
Also like OT being in Caps.

My name in my games is EKARD. I use Ekard when I give my FC usually or whenever I state it... In game it is EKARD.

I'm not sure what 'Poor Literacy' has to do with what/how you name yourself in a game...
 
ALL CAPS, TO LAZY TO HIT THE BUTTON TO GET SMALLER LETTERS, ALSO, CAPS ROCKS.
 
I do the first letter, just because its how I always write things. I really don't ever stop to think about it when I do it. I guess its just all those years of brainwas... err, training in school.
 
I think I started with just capitalizing the first letter because that's how it's supposed to be written but with every other name being in all caps I started doing that. I even did it in Diamond because I didn't realize they'd stopped doing that but when I started Platinum it felt good to write my name like I was supposed to.
