So it always has bugged me that we have no concrete map of the Pokemon regions and where they are in relation to each other. What are your guesses?

-We have the obvious with Kanto and Johto being connected

-Alola has to be close to Kanto with all of the regional variants located there, probably below the Orange and Sevii Islands

-Hoenn is probably Southwest of Kanto/Johto, farther away from all of the island nations

-Sinnoh I'm guessing is north of Kanto/Johto

-Kalos is probably Far East and Unova is far west of the other nations, probably same distance Japan is away from France/USA respectively

-I assume Orre is connected to the Kanto/Johto landmass somehow

That's all I've got haha, how do you see the Pokemon world and where would you put places like all of the Ranger islands and whatnot?

I see them being the same places as IRL.

Anyway there's this map for the Japanese regions-

As for Almia, it's pretty much confirmed to be just under Sinnoh, part of the same island mainly because of the shape and the mountain, which is likely Coronet.

My personal answer is,

- Kanto/Johto/Hoenn/Sinnoh: Where Japan is

- Unova: Where New York is

- Kalos: Where France is

- Alola: Where Hawaii is

- Anything else: Non-canon

I always assumed Sinnoh was the northern part of the continent shared by Johto and Kanto, because of the Sinjoh Ruins and Sinnoh having a cooler climate than Johto and Kanto but still similar. Unova and Kalos I am not sure, nor am I sure if the lands from Colosseum or the Ranger/Mystery Dungeon games count.

Hoenn is probably to the southwest of Kanto/Johto , adjacent or slightly to the left of the Sevii Islands, with Alola being below the Sevii Islands, maybe to the southwest of them? That is how I have it in my head canon, anyway.

I vaguely use a real world esc map for rough geography, but beyond that I have no idea what is between Unova and Orre for example. Maps have never quite satisfied me....
