OK, for purchase, I have a question (I have an interest on the original material): can I get from volume 1 to the current ones?

Re: japanese Raw versions of Pokemon Special

as far as I can tell, ebay only has english versions of the graphic novels. I couldn;t find even one japanese version volume.

Nipponexport doesn;t have any either.

Does benippon ship to the US. it looks to me like they have all or at least most of the japanese volumes, and the prices aren;t bad at all ^^. But it would be pointless if they don;t ship here.

If you have a Japanese bookstore nearby (like Sanseido) you can buy from there.
That's where I get my PokeSpe raws, heh.

yes benippon has all of them, and they do ship to the US.
in fact just recently I bought PokeSupe vol. 15 off of them when I bought BLEACH 45.

yes the prices are very cheap compared to other importing sites, but don't buy one volume at a time, it will save TONS of money if you get multiple books at the same time

Re: japanese Raw versions of Pokemon Special

Kinokuniya has Japanese volumes, and they have a website, but I've never ordered off the website.

I got volume 35 in their Beaverton store a few weeks ago, so they're pretty up to date on what they get in, and I'm all the way across the Pacific.

Re: japanese Raw versions of Pokemon Special

Didn't this forum used to have a "where to buy the manga?" thread? What happened to that?

Amazon Japan is a nice place.

It'll probably cost $20 - $24 due to the international shipping prices but it's still nice.

thread ressurection!

I know I posted this a long time ago, but I am still having difficulty finding japanese raws of Pokemon Special, and was wondering if anyone could possibly provide some new suggestions?

That benippon website closed down because of the Earthquakes :( That was my original plan for getting the raws, but now that is out, and I can't find them anywhere else except Amazon Japan; which isn't helpful because I don't have an account there, and the whole site is in japanese anyway, so I can't read it to set one up or order the books (and I don't know if they ship outside Japan anyway). Could anyone lend me some help??

If you live in the US, Sanseido bookstores (found at Japanese haunts, like Mitsuwa or something, which is where I get my copies, provided I actually go and get them) have them for ~retail price. No need to worry about shipping or jacked up prices.

Does that Sanseido bookstore have an on-line store where I could purchase the books. Cause I'm pretty sure there are none near my location that I could visit in person.

I visited Amazon Japan, and got it to switch to english and everything, but as far as I can tell, its not possible to get them to ship to America :(. In the shipping section it only had options for street Address and prefecture and a zip code that has a different number of digits than an american code, and no option yto change the country. Am I missing something, or is it really just not possible to order from Amazon Japan and get it shipped here?

Sorry for the double post. I think I finally figured it out; the option to input an international shipping address was there, the link to the page just didn;t translate into english like the rest of the text, so I couldn;t read it. I ended up clicking on it just as trial and error. But now I can put in my american address and everything, so it seems like my problem is finally solved. Thanks everyone ^_^
