I have tried recently to get pokemon fire red but i cannot find it. Partically the reason is because i was looking around christmas time and the stores were sold out of every thing but still not a lot of places still sell game boy games. The reason i want this is because i have diamond and emerald but i dont have a gen 1 game. i would like to get some gen 1 pokemon in diamond via pal park. i dont want to order it off the internet, dont ask why but i do not want to. Any suggestions where i can get pokemon fire red?

if there sold out in the stores then i suggest you wait until new shipments come in or try and get in online like on amazon

I'd check gamestop or other video game stores for a secondhand copy.

Like PDL said, Gamestop's probably your best bet. I don't even think they carry FireRed, or any of the GBA games, new in stores anymore.

Just a warning though: The GameStops near me want $35. for a second-hand copy of the game. I'm assuming it'd be the same price everywhere else, because that's the price listed on the GameStop website as well. So be ready to pay as much for a used copy as you would if you managed to find a new one somewhere.

I got Emerald at gamestop, I PURPOSELY bought it used because I wanted to steal the old user's Pokémon. Actually, I didn't take one of their better-condition paks because its file was corrupted. But, jeez, it was like $35, for a used game! They said they were "rare." I bet you could find one a Goodwill for like $2 if you looked long enough. If all else fails, try shopping online.

Yeah, you'll just have to hunt around video game stores for a pre-owned version. Don't expect to find it cheap though. I've never seen a GBA Pokemon game for under £25 here in England, and there normally £30, which is what they where when they where new.

New cartridges are still around. When I decided to get back into pokémon earlier this year I ordered my games on play.com, which is basically like Amazon Marketplace. I ordered Pokémon Emerald and Pokémon Fire Red brand new and they came in the original packaging still wrapped in plastic. Although I threw away the packaging I prefer having brand new cartridges instead of picking up second hand games. As for the prices: Fire Red cost me EUR 33.00 and Emerald came to EUR 41.99. I am not sure what that worth in pounds at the time and conversion on current rates makes no sense because of the devaluation on both sides. I surfed on play and there are no more new cartridges being offered for either, actually Emerald isn't being sold at all and there is only one seller for FR and that's used. I would look on play, amazon market place and possibly ebay (I personally despise ebay).

At my local Walmart they still sell fire red and leaf green. They actually often have leaf green in the "value" section for 19.99. While While fire red and emerald run around 32 bucks. Target also carries them for around the same price. Also, gamestop and EB games are probably gonna be more expensive than the big box stores unless you get it used.

The best place to get FireRed new is at a second hand store and even then it's a bit unlikily. You can try GameStop, but it'll be sold high used since in October I saw a copy of Pokémon Ruby at my local GameStop selling for $30 used.

I still see new versions of fire red and emerald at places like super target and wal-mart. If they aren't there your best bet is a used copy from a game store. Online would probably be easiest but you said you didn't want to buy online :/.

I just got Leaf Green off of the net the other day, Online Shops and auctions still have a few cartridges if you get lucky
