Where did Pikachu come from?

We all know about bulbasur's charmender's squirtle's past before ash had them but what about pikachu the only thing we know about him that oak has given him to ash.But how did oak get pikachu?What happened in pikachu's past who is pikachu's family?This dark past really makes my pikachu must be a pokegod theory also supported by ash being the chosen one in all movies.
 
Pikachu was created by Arceus to become the most epic Pikachu of all time. It's that simple. XD
 
This thread is silly. Why can't he just be a Pikachu with the anime equivalent of a Light Ball or something?
 
Dont think this was my theory, think I heard it somewhere but when pokemon first started all them years ago I remember thinking he'd been some sort of lab rat in the really early stages of the Mewtwo program (attempting to amplify the powers of a pikachu before moving on to cooler pokemon) and once the lab was shut down maybe he was found by the authorities and sent to Oak to determine what kind of genetic engineering had been done on him. Seems abit unlikely now we've seen him get beaten by some pretty average pokemon but I still quite like the idea. Explains why he was abit of a jerk in the beginning and his pokeball claustrophobia.

Considering that they seem to be slowly disregarding everything fro the Kanto episodes, I think its safe to assume we'll probably never know.

Uh, probably Viridian Forest, as it's the nearest place to Pallet Town where Pikachus can be found.

About the whole Pokeball thing, I think it's just claustrophobic. I mean, would you enjoy being shrunk and imprisoned in a tiny capsule, even if it was immensely bigger on the inside?
 
Pikachu might not be claustrophobic so much as he is just more comfortable outside. I've seen instances where Pikachu will willingly go into small areas without a fuss.

Pikachu having a cute little backstory would be kinda cool and potentially funny (jackass Pichu!) but it's probably not too special.

Or, since this is Pokemon, when a female Pikachu and something it's physically capable of mating with are put in the same room for long enough...
 
Meowth are in the same group as Pikachu.

Team Rocket's Mewoth is male.

Bulbapedia states that, whenever Pikachu and Meowth are forced to work together, Meowth is always more willing to work with Pikachu than Pikachu is to work with him. Also, Meowth is stated many times to have a parental sort of nature (Source: http://bulbapedia.bulbagarden.net/wiki/Meowth_(Team_Rocket) )

Therefore, Meowth is Pikachu's daddy.

How about, Pikachu was a baby Pichu once and it grew up to be Pikachu, and now it with Ash, THE END.
