Where do you build your Secret Base in Hoenn?

Objectively the best place to build a Secret Base is that large shrub on route 120 directly south of the Ancient Tomb near the pond and the loamy soil... I always set up shop there because of its proximity to Fortree and Lilycove (where you can buy furniture for your base) and you can garden to your hearts content and fish in the pond. No notes. Best base in the Hoenn games.

HOWEVER. I realize that my opinion is my own. Where you all usually set up your Secret Bases? Do you like putting yours near cities? Do you like them more isolated, near a cave? Where you do call home? Let's discuss.

I remember placing mine next to the Waterfall on Route 119. There wasn't any real purpose to it, but my sense of immersion always imagined how appealing it was to be next to a waterfall (kind of wish we could have set bases behind the waterfall) and just relaxing to the sound of the pouring water, sometimes falling asleep to it. The route being prone to rain and thunder adding onto it is another appeal mark to me. And if we could change the camera views, can only imagine just exiting the base and getting a good view of the bridge in front. My only issue would be that the interior could have been designed better, but that's the price I was willing to pay then...

fr fr fr, having a base right next to the waterfall sounds rly nice!! and the weather insitute is right there just in case you need to heal (although i forget, can you heal in super secret bases? been a bit since i've played those games.) very good secret base to have.

although now i'm thinking, it is fun to have a base that you had to get to with a certain type of bike. like using the acro bike to bunnyhop across the river. makes it feel so much more secluded and secret~

Yes, you can take a nap in the bed in the Secret Base to heal your team in OR/AS.
Anyways, I also remember making a Secret Base near the waterfall on Route 119 in Emerald. In AS, I made one on Route 117 near the Day-Care. In OR, I decided to create it on Route 111, where you first meet Aarune, although I really should move it, as you can already heal at the rest stop on said route.
