Where do you think Crasher Wake came from?

In one of the Generation IV games, Crasher Wake states that he 'came from overseas'. So which region do you think he came from? Personally, I think he came from Kanto, as he is seen there in HGSS at the Celadon Department Store.

I think he was born in Sinnoh, then traveled throughout all the regions for most of his life, then returned to Sinnoh to become a gym leader

He could have come from some other region not yet revealed. Like when the next gen of games comes out it hints somewhere along the storyline that he is originally from that region, or maybe they make it an easter egg or something, would be interesting.
