Which Ball do you use mostly to catch new Pokémon. I never used any other ball than ordinary PokéBall, except Safari Balls in Safari Zone and Park Balls in Bug Hunt Contest. It's probably because I wanna stay to the anime style, use PokéBall only. Even for the legendaries, I use PokéBall only.

Seems weird, and I know I'm missing too much fun. I don't even use berries or potions or anything :(

Poke-Balls. Legends really give you a challenge that way.

I've used a Master Ball on the Mascot Legendarys when I was a "Avrage Trainer." Now I just save them for a last resort, mostly agenst Shiny Pokemon.

I like cats that meow.

You bet! I'm trying to catch this Lugia in FireRed since hours, using ordinary PokéBall. It's at last bit of HP, and is also paralyzed. But I still can't catch it. I should try Ultra Balls now.

Wait, in Firered? That means you have the Mytic Ticket! Darn. I really envy you...
Wish I could do all the events in my Emerald...

Oh yeah! I had this time, where I used Quick Balls alot. I caught the roaming Zapdos, Moltres, and Mesperit on Platnium just doing Quick Balls.

Also, I have this thing, where I have to match the colors of the Poke Ball, with the Pokemon.

No I don't! Lol. I'm playing on emulator. In fact, I completed FireRed a year ago, but I couldn't find a trick to goto Island 8 (Naval Rock) and Island 9 (Birth Island), so I put it in my "To Do Later"...lol
For some reasons, yesterday I thought to again start searching for some trick to get there, and I found GameShark Warp Codes, that I can put in my emulator :D
There are also codes to get Mystic Ticket and Aurora Ticket, but I don't wanna do that. It may seem to work fine now, but maybe sometime in future it reveals that it changed some values in the save file which is causing some problem.

Btw, I also got a Mew GameShark trick today for FireRed. And it works :)
And that Mew comes holding a "Aurora Ticket" :D (which is not required after the Warp Code though).

You can. As I said, use GameShark codes to either get the ticket (which I will recommend as last option), or use Warp codes. You need to be on emulator though. If you're playing on real console, then you'll have to search for GameShark/AR/CodeBreaker devices...which I won't recommend, unless you have ways to backup your .sav file.

o_O This seems interesting. There aren't PokéBalls of all colors though!

I use a good mix of (mainly) Ultra Balls, Timer Balls, and Dusk Balls. Occasionally, I'll work in a Heal Ball or Quick Ball, but the other ones are my primary catching devices.

I do have a AR, but I have to get a new disc for it and another cable, sence it deleted all the codes for no reson.
I have this tendencey to assume that everyone that plays Pokemon, to play the accual games, and not the emulator. Probly 'cause I play the real games.

I remember, yesterday, I was playing XD, and I used Great Balls to catch a Shadow Altaria, I caught it on my secound one, which was also my last one.
Basically, I match the main colors, or colors that look like it, fer example, I caught Pigeot in a Ultra Ball even thought it's not exacly yellow.

I use basically anything and everything expect the master ball because you can always catch a guy without it haha

I use pretty much every type of Pokeball. Alot of them I dont use often like Timer Balls, Nest Balls, Net Ball, etc) I usually just use normal Pokeballs to catch most Pokemon, maybe a Great Ball if I need it. Dusk Balls are useful if I am catching a Pokemon at night. I will usually use Ultra Balls or Dusk Balls for Legendaries, since I dont want to waste like 50 regular Pokeballs. I will only use a Master Ball if a Pokemon is either a roaming legendary or a shiny, especially a rare shiny like a shiny legendary that I dont want to risk weakening.

Typically I go with whatever matches the Pokemon's color. Blue Pokemon get Great balls, Red Pokemon get Pokeballs etc.

If I don't have any that match, I just use Great Balls.

Which all games have roaming legendaries? I know FireRed has one, because I'm also searching for it. But games prior to this doesn't, afaik. Or I missed them? (T_T)

I do wish to catch a shiny pokemon someday. Is there any symptom of it, apart from the color difference. Someone said that a start blinks when the Pokémon is shiny, but I'm not sure if it's true.

Pretty much all the games after Gen 1 have roaming Legendarys. GSC has the Dogs, HGSS has the Dogs and the 3 birds from RBY, RSE has the Lati@s, DPPT has Mespirit and Cressilia, and BW has that genie.

Shinys have a sparkle around them, whuch is how you know. here's a vid to show what they look like: Shiny Pokemon Eevee in Trophy Garden - YouTube

Depending on what Starter you chose, it will be one of the Legendary Dogs:
Rikou if you chose Squirtle
Entei if you chose Bulbasaur
Suicune if you chose Charmander

For Shinies, it's a 1/8192 chance, it 'spose to be caculated with your Trainer ID and Seceret ID (which you can't see), the formula is very complex, having some caculation thing called "xor."
If you see a Shiny, it will sparkle yellow sparkles in a loopty-loop, while there will be twikle sound, if you know what I mean. I sound and the sparkle is different in future games.

Oh I didn't knew GSC and RSE also has romaning legendaries :O , maybe because I only play with solo pokemon in non-Gen I games. But I'd like to catch Latias (cuz i love Pokémon Heroes movie, lol)!

Thank you so much for the link. Now I know how to check if pokémon is shiny. Your link also gave me answer to my other thread regarding GBA better of NDS (http://bmgf.bulbagarden.net/f226/gba-nds-games-125958/) ...GBA has no match to the NDS video I just saw on your link :p
I'm gonna watch that video again ^^

Oh yes, that Exclusive-OR gate. I wonder why this is the one used everywhere, among so many other logical gates, lol

Yea I just saw the youtuve video Ino-Chan gave me link of, abour shiny. I think I never even saw any shiny Pokémon yet :(

I almost always use Ultra Balls. I'm cheap, so I have enough money to afford them.

That is in Pearl, Diamond, Platnium, Heartgold, or Soulsilver. Watch this:
Let's find Shiny pokemon! (LeafGreen) - YouTube

Even though that there was a code in there, this is how it looks in Leafgreen, which is a carbon copy of Firered.

Yea I see it's pretty much same stars glowing around. But how in the work is this pikachu shiny? It's just normal colored. Only has stars :/

I use Ultra Balls as well.. I only use regular Pokeballs for really low levelled Pokemon. Sometimes I used Quick Balls and Dusk Balls as well when necessary.. Like when I find a roaming Pokemon and I weaked it before, I use Quick Balls. and If I catch legendaries in caves like Kyruem I use Dusk Balls.

It's not excatcally the same: a regular Pikachu is Yellow, and that Pikachu is orange, isn't it?
