Which "canon" main character ship interested you more, the PM or AG one?

We've had two main character ships in the anime, one that lasted for Pocket Monsters (Ash/Misty), and one that lasted for Advanced Generation, (May/Drew). I'm not including D/P on this since its still too early to see what Hikari's main ship is going to be, so we'll leave her out for now.

Both of these had their fair share of hints, with the big difference between the two is that one actually got a happy ending, whereas the other pretty much amounted to nothing in particular as the anime continued.

So if we look at the "main" ships for Pocket Monsters and AG, which ship dynamic did you enjoy more?

Did you enjoy Pokeshipping more than Contestshipping, or the latter over the former? Which ship do you think had better moments overall? Did they make you think of the girls differently once you got into their ships? Lastly, which ship was better written? And did either of these ships affect your enjoyment of their respective series at all?

I enjoyed Contestshipping more than pokeshipping simply because that ship actually continued. As PM went on, it was WAY too obvious that Ash had zero to no feelings for anyone or anything bu his mother and pokemon. At most i would say that he saw poor Misty as an older sister. Contestshipping was betetr written. Youi can alomost tell during the towards the Johto league arc that the writers had given up on pokeshipping too when they realized Ash's disinterest.
Actually, it did affect they way i enjoyed the show. With contestshipping I learned to hate may a little less but drew was little bit too much like gary sometimes. (if ash were a girl I imagine thats how PM would have turned out).
Sadly contestshipping adversly affected the anime. because of its positive ratings in the contest area, they've made pokemon a shojo rather than a shonen. i have no porblem with shojo anime but...it seems weird for pokemon to make that weird transition...especially since it began as a shonen.

Pokeshipping was the first ship I became interested in, although that interest waned a long time ago for obvious reasons.

PokeShipping
Mainly because I never was a ContestShipper and I didn't like May nor Drew
And besides, even before I returned to the Pokemon fandom, I was a slight PokeShipper, though I didn't know they called it that.

As far as what we've seen goes, recently I've been interested in the ContestShipping shown at the end of AG.

As far as the future goes, PokéShipping looks more interesting. (Normally, one waits for the series to end before saying that something amounted to nothing.)

Pokeshipping. I don't know why, I just do. And no, it's not because I am a crazed Misty fan that has pictures of her plasted all over my room and prays to God at night wishing for her return and marriage to Ash.

I think its because in present time we know May and Drew have the hots for each other and will get really close now that they're in Johto together, whereas Misty's side of the crush has faded tremendously and Ash seems to be as indifferent as ever towards her.

The thing is we can logically say at this point that May and Drew will wind up together, its a lot more iffy for Ash and Misty. Ash goes on one adventure after another and Misty has her own life at Cerulean Gym, and when the two meet every so often the writers just have them interact as old friends, rather than anything special. I'm afraid those are the hard facts.

And that's why PokéShipping is more interesting. May and Drew acknowledge that they like each other so the only interesting thing remaining is wondering how far the writers will take it... they certainly won't have kissed when we see them next.

With Ash, we are still following him on his journey and there is no obvious ship for him at this point. But in the future - and this would not be until such a time that the writers concluded his journey - it is very likely that he will end up with someone. PokéShipping is currently right in front as the ship they would turn to then.

I really like Contestshipping i think it's cool i hope it continues, but Pokeshipping is and will be my fave Ship, because Ash and Misty have alot of hints. Even though people say Ash only loves Pokemon i think he really loves Misty also, he just hides it really well >.> and of course Misty burns for Ash lol

Contest.
Although, back in the day, I was a slight Pokeshipper, since all the magazines I read were all "omg ash shuld win a leuge and then tell misti he wubs her" and it carried onto me =/.
I used to be crazy for contestshipping, but then I lost interest. I still somewhat like it, mainly because of the way they built it up and their interactions.

The relationship between May and Drew still reminds me of the relationship between Ash and Gary. I guest I won't chang my mind untill they say they are in love with each other, instead of the rival comparing tactics, moves, ect, ect, saying they will keep the rivalry alive.

I am sure May and Max will be shown in the world of Pokemon thing in movie 10 they have been doing for the movies.
