Which Characters Cry the Most/Least often?

Anyone who has watched the Pokemon Anime or anime in general knows that the material tends to be very emotional for certain characters to the point where they just break down in tears. That or some anime characters just happen to be absolute crybabies for no good reason, like Sailor Moon.

Which got me to thinking, How often do certain characters of the Pokemon Anime cry?

Brock has certainly cried quite often in the series. I've seen Ash cry a few times, I've seen screenshots of May crying as well as Dawn. Strangely, Misty rarely cries if ever for some reason.

So my main question is How often did Ash, Misty, Brock, Tracey, May, Max, Dawn, Iris, Cilan, Serena etc. cry in the series, and which character cried the most/least often in the series?
 
Clemont cried once, he got it from his father Meyer who cried twice in one episode. Korrina did look like she was ready to cry in episode 32 but she was able to sniff the tears back. Cilan cried a few times and Brock cries quite a bit. May cried too a few times.
 
I don't know exactly who cried the most or least, but I do remember at one time there being a video of May's Top 10 Crying Moments or something like that. And 10 times is quite a lot in my book for one character so I'd be willing to bet she might have cried the most times.
 
May even cries in a japanese opening, so she is certainly not the least :p
I think that if we count the times when Ash hides his eyes down his hat he would probably be the winner, because he did that several times.
The characters that cried the least are Tracey and Cilan imo, because they never were in sentimental situations. Brock recieved similar treatment, but he cried many times when the girls rejected him, albeit only for laughs.
 
I think May and Ash would tie for crying a lot, because they have cried quite often. I didn't watch a lot of Dawn-centric episodes, but I remember that she had cried after one of her Contest loss. And even Misty had cried in that episode where she was talking with an Oddish and in another one, when she released Togetic, but yeah, I don't think she used to cry that often.
Brock used to cry whenever a girl rejected him, but I think that was done just for making the situation comical. And hey, even the TRio has cried a lot. (James in particular was pretty emotional during the earlier sagas).
And I am still not sure who is more emotional out of Clemont, Serena and Bonnie, because they have displayed almost equal amount of emotions.
And I think Tracey cried the least, but maybe that's just because he got the least no. of episodes.
And if you really want to know who has cried the most, either Misty's Togepi (I like him, but he did cried a lot) and that baby Marill from 'For crying out loud'.
 
I've always been under the assumption that the reason Misty didn't cry often was because she's trying perceive the image of a tough tomboy, thus hiding her true feelings about certain things. I think it's because she doesn't want her friends to feel sorry for her. There were moments when she feels like she's going to cry, like when Ash and Pikachu were presumed to be dead until their ghosts returned to their bodies. When Ash woke up, she wiped her eyes in relief. "Gotta Catch You Later" probably was her most opportune episode to start crying, but she didn't. However the reason is in the lyrics of her goodbye song to Ash:

"Promised not to be sad, but
We both knew I was lying.
Gotta fight back the tears, cause
Can't let you see me crying."

I guess that could be a reason. Even when she does though she tends to try really hard to keep her composure in the midst of the moment. I just have yet to see an episode in which she breaks down in anguish filled sobs.
 
I do remember that May and Dawn cried an awful lot during their time on the show. Along with Ash since he's been around the longest. I guess these guys would be my top contenders for crying the most.

Out of the new characters only Bonnie has truly cried, along with tearing up a few times, but I won't count any of them since XY isn't over yet. I don't recall Cilan ever crying at all, but then again I barley paid attention to his saga at times. Maybe he did and I just don't remember, but I've got a pretty strong feeling that he never did so he's who I'd choose for crying the least. If not him...did Tracey ever cry? If not Cilan, either Tracey or Misty.
 
Jessie and James often cry when releasing Pokemon, most characters do actually. We are talking about serious crying rather than comedic crying, which TR also do a lot of
 
The character that cries the most (in my opinion) is May and/or Dawn.

The character that cries the least is Paul. Derp.
