I have too many to pick from, I can't decide on a favorite!

I am nostalgic for The SpongeBob SquarePants Movie because I would watch it on repeat when I was younger. It was just that funny and iconic! I'm not sure when I'm gonna re-watch it again because I am still burnt out from my earlier viewings, but I am still thinking about it.

Another contender would be Eiga Sumikko Gurashi: Tobidasu Ehon to Himitsu no Ko. Which seems like an odd option because it wasn't released in my home country, but I was hyperfixated on Sumikko Gurashi when I was in middle school and I ended up pirating the film a few months after it came out. :slowpoke: It was very enjoyable and heart-wrenching, and I wish I didn't spoil myself earlier before I managed to watch it. ;w;

Milo and Otis, but unfortunately the filming was extremely unethical, and I don’t know if I could watch it again. I really, really, really liked the scenery and music.

My Little Pony: Escape from Catrina, My Little Pony: The Movie (1986), The Little Mermaid Hans Christian Andersen, The Lion King, Alice in Wonderland, Thumbelina, Cinderella, The Little Mermaid, Beauty and the Beast

I loved Lilo & Stitch, though I didn’t watch it until I was an adult. I didn’t watch a ton of movies as a child.

I remember really liking Kiki's Delivery Service, Cat's Don't Dance, Sonic the Hedgehog: The Movie, The Brave Little Toaster, and The Little Mermaid

Spider-man (2002) and Spider-man 2 (2004)

(I grew up with Tobey Maguire's Spider-Man, and just can't with Andrew Garfield or Tom Holland, save for "No Way home")

Honestly, my absolute favorite movie from my childhood is probably Bolt. Just an amazing one all around, and I’d watch it again any time! The SpongeBob SquarePants Movie is another big contender, as is Hoodwinked—and heck, I could definitely make a case for The Lego Movie if my mid/late teens count. Some honorable mentions go to Ice Age, the first two Toy Story and Shrek films respectively, Monsters Inc., Despicable Me, Tangled, Spaceballs, Zoolander (yeah, I saw it probably in my early teens or so, lol), The Princess Bride, Elf, Stranger than Fiction, The Brave Little Toaster, and The Cat in the Hat (2003). I know that last one isn’t necessarily a popular pick, but I was absolutely obsessed with it as a kid!

omg i was reading all the replies before making mine and me too! i came here to say that i ADORED bolt as a kid! it's still such a comfort food rewatch for me as an adult because of the nostalgia. it's such a fun feel-good movie honestly. kind of offtopic but i was also a huge fan of the tie-in bolt wii/ds games that let you explore the world of the bolt tv show within the movie... as a video game lol.

one of my other favorite movies as a kid was a movie called A Little Princess (1995). no one i've ever met has watched this movie, so i'll explain the premise: it's a historical fiction movie about a girl who gets sent to a boarding school while her dad is fighting in WW1, and she ends up becoming a servant for the boarding school because her dad dies and therefore the money for her to attend the school stops coming in, plus she's an orphan now. the movie has a lot of implicit commentary on racial prejudice because the main girl who is white at this very white boarding school ends up befriending the black girl who is a servant before her. it's rated G and is technically a childrens' film but it's actually decently heavy. i think i liked it so much because it was more mature than everything else i was watching and it was one of my earliest experiences with like, really being impacted by a film and thinking about its message and themes. i also just really liked the friendship between the two main girls. as a young girl myself it really resonated with me.
unfortunately i rewatched it for the first time in ages recently and... well it's a movie with commentary on race from the 90s so there's some iffy spots and in particular... you'd think i'd go back and find some terrible antiblack racism in the film, but all things considered the commentary about slavery in the film is pretty solid, especially for its intended audience of children. not perfect and pretty darn white, but solid all things considered. what i was surprised about and did not remember was it is suuuuper guilty of treating indians like exotic magical people and it honestly made me very uncomfortable on a rewatch. i can't really recommend the movie in good conscience without saying that you might have to sit through some weird racist exoticism stuff. but like, critical of its flaws and all, still a pretty good film.

apologies for my little ramble about this movie no one else has seen, LOL. the only other movie that came to mind for me was pokemon heroes. absolutely my favorite pokemon movie as a kid and i ABSOLUTELY annoyed the crap out of my mother by rewatching that movie sometimes multiple times a day... forcing her to hear the shrill latias noises over and over and over... hahaha. it was such an eye opener getting older and realizing the US release of the movie is doused in a horrible dark blue filter for some reason that washes out all the details and makes it look like its eternally night in alto mare! if any of you have never seen the original JP film, please do, it's absolutely gorgeous, total travesty that it came out in the US the way it did, even though i liked it as a kid.

i loved barbie movies as a kid. i still do honestly. i think the best barbie movie is princess and the pauper, but my personal favorites and the ones with the most nostalgia for me are mermaidia and princess charm school. i would watch those movies on repeat. it was nuts. i struggle with watching movies sometimes because if i'm not super interested then i can't keep my attention on it, but barbie movies have never given me that issue. i just lock in so hard. barbie movies are good and i love them and everybody else should too
