Which combo of starters did/will you pick?

I'm just really curious to know if most people picked one grass/fire/water or mixed and matched. Also, polls are fun :D

I couldn't find a thread like this, but if one exists/this is innapropriate please close it!

Personally, I chose Cyndaquil as my starter, because its so intense. For Kanto, its a really tough choice. I was in the car with my friend and our families, and they all told me Charmander, so I went with it. I've always liked Squirtle though. Hoenn's though too, I got a Mudkip, but Sceptile's so cool...

We do already have a Starter Pokemon thread here, but not one really this specific.

For my Johto Starter from Professor Elm I chose Cyndaquil. It will probably be quite a while before I beat Red, but I plan on choosing Bulbasaur for my Kanto Starter Pokemon from Professor Oak. This is mainly to even out so I have all three types.

Also, once you defeat Red and go to Silph Co. you can talk to Steven Stone (the Hoenn Champion) and receive one of the Hoenn Starter Pokemon. I plan on choosing Mudkip from Steven as I really like Ground-type Pokemon.

I will probably end up sending the rest of the Starters over from my Pokemon Pearl Version as I have them all there, so I can complete my Pokedex sometime soon. I am looking forward to having another Empoleon though which will be nice.
 
Cyndaquil, because he's a badass.

Squirtle, because I was already swarming with Bulbasaur on Platinum and was in the process of Pal Parking a Charmer over from FireRed anyway.

Treeko, because again, Torchics out the butt on Platty and those guys we Liek from Ruby.
 
To make it more confusing, I have to start with: fire types are my favourite overall [not just starters, the type itself]. Grass starters are my least favourite.

Elm: Chikorita
Oak: Bulbasaur
Steven: Treecko

This is because I've raised 2 of every fire starter to level 100 [3 Infernapes], and on various teams I'm raising currently, I have one of each water starter now [only Empoleon at level 100 though]. Of all the grass starters, Torterra is my favourite, and up until now, it was the only one I had raised. So, I am killing birds.
 
I picked Totodile as my starter in HG. I'll take Charmander and Treecko with me.

In SS, I'll take Cyndaquil, Bulbasaur and Mudkip.
 
I picked Chikorita from Elm. I don't know who I'll pick from Oak, but I'll probably go with Treeko from Steven.
 
I always choose the Grass type starter. However, this time I went with Totodile, because I had all three starters on Pearl, and both Cyndaquil and Chikorita had moves I could breed over (Dig and Solarbeam, respectively).

I usually play the games through with all three starters, and when a third version comes out, make a team of Pokemon I don't usually use. Not that we'll be getting a third version of these games, but I'll most likely be playing Black/White by the time a third version usually appears.
 
Cyndaquil, Charmander, and Treecko. I already have all the Kanto starters, but I decided to go with Charmander.
 
JP SoulSilver: Totodile, Bulbasaur, Torchic
EU HeartGold: Cyndaquil, Squirtle, Treecko
EU SoulSilver: Totodile, Charmander, Mudkip (Although I may restart and use Chikorita)
 
I started With Totodile, picked up Cyndaquil and Chickorita from Platinum.

Right now I use Feraligatr, Charizard and Torterra. I don't know if I'll choose Bulbasaur from Oak, as I already got a dual typed poison pokemon on my team.

Though a Venusaur with Outrage and Seed Bomb would be kick-arse...
 
Totodile, Squirtle and Mudkip, because water types are the best of course! But in SS I'll get Bulbasaur and Torchic, since I don't have those yet in my Diamond (where I'm filling National Dex).
 
The Fire ones, because those are the ones that I prefer in those starter groups.
 
Cyndaquil because I love the fire starters, and I much prefer Typhlosion.
Then Squirtle because I don't want another fire starter, and I prefer Squirtle over Bulbasaur.
And then Treecko cause Treecko, in my opinion, is one of the better grass starters.
 
i started with cyndaquil then ot bulbasaur from oak and mudkip from steven
 
I picked Cyndaquil, then I picked Squirtle, then Treecko, because Ash has those.
