>>>Definitely, Team Rocket. They want to take over the world. The others think they are improving the world through their own twisted logic.
Exactly. Once I got into a sort-of fight with some bizzare Magma-obsessed kid who claimed they were 'eviler' then Team Rocket and when I tried to explain that to him, the kid ignored me. Guh. x.x
Definitely Team Rocket. They've been around longer and they have Jessie and James. Not to mention they have some "cool" evil plan of taking over the world, and they actually do cuel things (like hurting Pokemon).
Team Aqua and Team Magma would've been better if they appeared more often and would of made Hoenn even more interesting (even though I did like Hoenn), but the writers apparently decided not to do that.
TR because they're just evil for the sake of being evil. In the anime, they never disbanded, but even when they did in the games, the execs decided to take it over themselves and bring TR to glory in hopes of bringing Giovanni back. That failed, too, and then we have some goon in Kanto that stole the parts that make the Kanto Power Plant work. This is one tough to dissolve team. TR will be with us in the anime probably for as long as the anime itself decides to run. We will get a new evil team for D/P, which as of yet, has not been revealed. We did not see TM/TA until close to the release of Ru/Sa, but with everything else that's going on about D/P, the evil team should be imminent. TM and TA were interesting as well, as we were shown more competent people as their members. Their leaders have the air of someone that was good that went bad, though. They nearly caused a catastrophe that could've destroyed all of Hoenn, maybe even the world. No matter what evil team we end up with, they are sure to bring us trouble.
The only bad thing I can think about TR (the organization, not Jessie/James) is they don't appear often enough anymore.
Giovanni was turned into comic relief by Meowth's daydreams, and its hard to take the guy seriously anymore. And when we DO see the real Giovanni, its for less than 2 minutes at a time. Meowth's daydreams have tarnished his image tenfold.
Cassidy/Butch have also only appeared in 1 AG episode after all this time, (we're up to AG184) and the other Rocket members are almost non-existant.
Other than that, what is there to say? Team Rocket were shafted in Hoenn for Magma/Aqua, but now that we're in Kanto and Magma/Aqua are gone...Team Rocket STILL don't appear enough. Is this going to be the same when we go into Shinou? If so, then I don't see a purpose in rooting for a non-existant evil organization anymore. They've hardly been a factor in the show for the last 4 1/2 years and 180+ episodes.
If the writers don't even bother to show us the real Team Rocket anymore, why should I even care?
Team Rocket by far. Magma and Aqua are nothing but a joke pretending to be criminal organizations. And for the record, Scott: Butch and Casidy appeared in 2 AG episodes.
I like TM simply because I do. TR was a joke to me, always has been, they really can't get their stuff together. At least Magma members have cool outfits, look intimidating, and have a twisted goal.
Team Rocket is, of course, bigger and more evil. But Team Magma is still ... better >3
"And when we came out of our hiding place they had all disappeared..."
Team Rocket knows that it is a criminal organisation whereas Teams Aqua and Magma are just misguided and then disband when that twigs. Plus, Team Rocket has Jessie, James and Meowth.
My vote definately goes to Team Rocket. As others have said before me, Team Rocket is the only 'evil' team that actually IS evil. World domination is one thing, but does anyone remember how they treat their pokemon? Remember the first breeding center that Butch and Cassidy opened? The pokemon in the back room in cages probably without sufficient food or water, and Psyduck had its eyes taped back? Not to mention James' Weepinbell was evolved without trainer consent because a Victribell would undoubtedly be more impressive to put in front of Giovanni. Remember in the original Red and Blue games the Rocket grunt sprite had a whip in his hand? Remember Nanba's Nasty Pokemon Provoker? Project Revolution?
Team Rocket, the REAL Team Rocket, is cruel. And I love them.
Team Rocket, no doubt. They are the ones that have actually done acts that were cruel and evil, while Magma and Aqua are just misguided...hell, in the games, didn't one team actually aim to stop the other to save the world rather then to further their own goal? That's not evil. That's good, if I am remembering correctly.
Have to go with Team Rocket, you can't go wrong with that big red 'R'.
But I do like Team Aqua and Team Magma as well.We can't have every team trying to take over the world, you have to mix it up a little.I liked TA and TM because they were basically these cults that genuinely believed what they were doing would benefit the planet. If Giovanni found out what they were up to,I'm sure we would've sent some elite TR agents to try and stop them. How can he take over the world when there were a bunch of screwballs in Hoenn trying to destroy it?
TR, by far ... the others always seemed ... like they had less common sense or something and their plans were way more melodramatic than Giovanni's. Hell, at least Gio seems more like a real militia group than the others do.
I'm for Team Rocket. Character-wise, they have the way more unique personalities and characters in TR. And of course goal-wise they beat the other teams hands down. It is a shame that we see less and less of the more intimidating and successful side of the organization in the anime.
