Which do you prefer plot, and character, wise? GSC or HGSS?

HGSS is far more developed then GSC.

Ten years ago Pokemon games had very basic, and somewhat loose, story-lines. The characters didn't get much driven into their personalities either.

Around the third gen that started changing though. They started paying more attention to the story-line, more attention to characterization, etc.

Due to that fact, some personalities seem different, the storyline is different but follows the same path, etc in the remakes.

HgSs, we get more insight into the gym leader's lives.

Also, what the heck is with Brock's line "it itches" >_>

Everyone who's read that thought it weird.

Crystal, for having more references to Ecruteak's history and making Ho-Oh and the beasts more captivating. That goes for Eusine, too.

Silver was better in GSC, but a lot of the characters are more developed in HGSS. The ones that stand out the most are Professor Elm (who actually has a family), and all of the Gym Leaders.

Red is still a mystery though... (I prefer his GSC team, however.)

I never really saw much of a difference between the two teams he had besides Espeon being replaced by a Lapras

But I like HGSS better it had a slightly more added storyline of the rval learning how to train his pokes plus you can battle him again despite his low levels

HG/SS: some of Crystal's elements were implemented into it (like Eusine appearing). Also, the Kimono girls were given a better purpose there, if I remember correctly.

Yes, since they had no purpose in gen2 they was given not a better purpose, but rather a purpose at all.
No, being 5 random trainers whit eeveelutions don't make you special.

I like HGSS better, well not Silver character, but that's about it.

This isn't even a contest. HG/SS expanded enormously upon the original games, and in my opinion it's the best game in the series. The only thing that GSC might have over it is that I like Crystal's design better than Soul's, and I'm not a particular fan of giving Suicune special treatment, but those are personal preferences. HG/SS is head and shoulders above the originals.

When Professor Elm used "" in his email to Professor Oak...

It was when I decided I loved the guy. ;A; sob, I never knew he had family in GSC, too...

But overall...hmm, it's a tie between Crystal and HGSS. HGSS is a huge monumental improvement to GS, but Crystal is a third version, and I has a soft spot for all of them. D: Plus, Kris.
