As we all know, the games have at least one "evil" team. Their plans of each vary from petty bandits and bullied students to "Lets use a legendary Pokémon to destroy the world". Thing is, which one is the most evil? Which team deserves the crown as the most evil team?

shitposts aside, I think everyone but Aqua/Magma, Flare, and Galactic get ruled out immediately because the success of their plan does not hinge on killing a shitton of people. After that, Aqua/Magma seem largely oblivious to the scale of collateral damage that they'll induce, Galactic seems unbothered by it, and Flare is motivated by it, so I think Flare is a pretty cut and dry choice for combining "doing the most evil" and "on purpose".

edit: I guess Neo Plasma is also included in wanting to kill a lot of people and knowing about it. Their whole pirate skyship deal is far more cartoonishky outlandish than wealthy elites want to kill everyone they think is ugly, so still Flare by a longshot.

Having played through all of the villainous teams, from Team Rocket in Red to Team Star in Scarlet, I have to say the most evil team crown would have to go to Team Flare.

Team Rocket cared about money. Both Team Magma and Team Aqua were flawed environmentalists. Team Galactic was about using the legendaries to create a new world, so if I had to give a silver to anyone, it would likely be them. Team Plasma (both versions) seemed to be about limiting access to Pokemon and spreading terror. Team Skull was a joke (surprised Aether Foundation was not here. Their goals were actually far more threatening overall). Team Yell were just rowdy sports fans. Team Star were just a bunch of bullied students and did not threaten anyone.

Team Flare. They're one of the few where the admittance of people/Pokémon being wiped out or unwillingly near eternal is brought up pretty directly.

Galactic gets an honorable mention for having a very similar goal on paper, and Magma and Aqua as similar global catastrophic consequences can be assumed, but at least none of theirs are bolstered by a literally named ultimate weapon that has done destruction in the past.

@Unovia
Aether Foundation was not included simply because they were not really evil. The grunts we fight, some might have simply been doing their job. Yeah, there might have been some members helping Lusamine, but still. Over all, they are not an evil group. IT was all mostly Lusamine and some people who were in on what she wanted to do.

True, but they were more evil than Team Skull was. Still, doesn't matter.

And Team Yell is?
Yeah, I forgot that Yell, Skull, and Star are not really evil. Not sure what I was thinking when I made the poll!
Although, While Yell were not planning on world domination, they were still harassing people. Same with Skull. Star I will let slide since aside from the one instance in Mezagoza, we don't see them do anything wrong.

Interesting question. In terms of the psychology of the members and/or boss, Neo Team Plasma easily wins. Unlike the original Team Plasma, where at least some members had good intentions (N, some of the Seven Sages and a good chunk of the grunts) and they tried to make amends for their misguided actions and even fight back against Neo Team Plasma in Pokemon Black 2 and White 2, basically everyone in Neo Team Plasma (except for the, at the time, morally neutral Colress) is a power hungry wannabe tyrant who enjoys crushing and dominating everyone else, especially Ghetsis himself. Also, their "good intentions" weren't good intentions at all and they were clearly lying through their teeth about that. But in terms of the amount of damage they intended to inflict, Team Galactic is definitely the worst of the bunch. At least Team Flare, while also omnicidal, wanted to wipe out most life in the Pokemon world only and preserve at least some people and Pokemon, specifically those affiliated with Team Flare themselves. Team Galactic, mostly Cyrus, wanted to destroy and rebuild the entire Pokemon universe and by extension end all life in the Pokemon world and countless other worlds too and then turn everyone into soulless husks all in the name Cyrus' ultra-nihilistic philosophy. Yikes! In terms of goals and stakes, I don't think you can get any worse than that! My vote would definitely go to either one of those two, depending on what criteria I'm using to gauge how evil they are.

Team Galactic I guess since Cyrus wanted to create a new universe and destroy the old one? Team Flare is almost as bad because they wanted to just kill everyone on the planet other than themselves. I'd then say Team Magma/Aqua were the third most evil because their plans would've indirectly killed a whole bunch of people/Pokemon as well, or at the very least displaced many of them and caused irreparable climate change.

Skull at least are actually committing crimes, Yell are just overly-enthusiastic football hooligans. You see their type any given game day in Britain.

From the ones I know and remember, which would be up to Gen 8, in my opinion it was Team Plasma, because they acted all morally superior with all Pokemon rights and whatnot, when in reality they had plans of world domination and control (kinda like the leftist activists as of today) therefore I think they were they worst kind of evil. Other Evil Teams were at least honest about their evil ambitions. Team Flare also is kinda like that so that could be in second. Can't remember if Aqua/Magma openly claimed they have the moral high ground to excuse their actions which would be important in this context as well.
