Which main series Pokemon game has the biggest amount of your PERSONAL favourite features in it???

Personally the game with the biggest amount of my favourite features is Omega Ruby/ Alpha Sapphire .

It has the Battle Resort, Contest Spectaculars, Secret Bases, Soaring and my favourite tech device sofar, the Pokenav Plus. No other game has so many of my personal favourite features/gimmicks.

Honorary mentions: B2W2.

PD: POLL ADDED!

Since third versions (Yellow, Crystal, Emerald and Platinum) contain EVERYTHING from the first pair of their generation, I put those together.

Platinum for me.

Amazing champion. Adorably grumpy but likable professor. Vast and beautiful region with varied locations and challenging content. Distortion World addition was epic. Solid post game that took a while to complete. Gym Leader Cafe. VS Seeker. Sinnoh Underground providing you with endless evolution stones and shards. Move Tutors. Music changing tempo depending on time of day (why has this NEVER come back!?). I also truly loved the Pokemon of the Sinnoh region, which was a big part of my love for it ^_^

Same as you, I'd pick BW2 for my honorary mention. Those games took Unova, which was already great, and made it truly stunning. New gym leaders in interesting, vibrant cities; gorgeous undersea tunnel, Join Avenue, an upgraded badass Team Plasma...yep, definitely my second favourite games!

Re: Which game has the biggest amount of your PERSONAL favourite features?

Platinum.

As much as I love White due to the story and Pokemon included, Platinum was really perfect in what I'd look for in a Pokemon game. It took everything what was right in Diamond and Pearl, got rid of what was wrong, and added a lot more content to make it even more enjoyable. It didn't feel like I was trudging through Diamond and Pearl all over again; it actually felt new and fun. It had a solid story, a fantastic Pokedex, the VS seeker, the Battle Frontier, the Underground, beautiful aesthetics with it's northern theme... I could go on forever on why it's just awesome on so many aspects.

Re: Which game has the biggest amount of your PERSONAL favourite features?

I loved Gold/Silver, but especially Crystal, the best.

It finally added the ability to choose to be a girl. The day/night and week system of G/S/C I really liked, as well - it was something that I would later come to appreciate even more in Animal Crossing, a feature that I really just love all around. Also, I liked the idea of decorating our room with furniture and dolls. I know that R/S/E furthered that feature, but I never liked it as much in R/S/E for some reason. I think it has to do with me having played Animal Crossing in between playing G/S/C and R/S/E, and just thinking that R/S/E's decorating pales in comparison.

I don't think I need to add to this.

Re: Which game has the biggest amount of your PERSONAL favourite features?

These aren't so much features, but I always liked how the 2nd gen added all the mechanics of breeding/genders, shinys and Pokerus

As far as features go, it was sweet to go back to Kanto, get the old gym badges and challenge the protagonist from the Gen 1 games.

Re: Which game has the biggest amount of your PERSONAL favourite features?

That's a tough one. I have to admit, I remember the least useful features the most. I suppose I'd probably have to say HG/SS, since it had a decent Battle Frontier, the walking pokémon, the best touch screen interface (I still find it annoying being able to use the stylus to only partially interact with the game), and the day/night mechanic. Much as I don't like Gen V overall, I did appreciate the seasons. Oh, and the little musical features here and there

Re: Which game has the biggest amount of your PERSONAL favourite features?

I'd also have to say HG/SS. Even aside from it being a fantastic remake of my favorite gen, some things I loved were:

  • The ability to have your Pokemon follow you and even pick up those leaves for a crown
  • The Pokegear returning even better than it was back in gen II
  • Kurt and the apricorns (and thus Pokeballs) being made more user-friendly; plus, I actually liked the whole apricorns thing to begin with
  • POKEATHLON aka the best sidequest in the main series
  • Berry Pots, which I like so much more than growing berries on trees
  • GB Sounds
  • pretty much everything that was also present in G/S/C (such as being able to go to Kanto, etc)
Also that it will now always be the last remake before Mega Evolutions were added to the series. I just... don't care for Megas that much (some are cool, but ehhh), and I'm glad gen II got remade before they would've been thrown in.

HG/SS was just a near-perfect blend of features imo.

Re: Which game has the biggest amount of your PERSONAL favourite features?

I'd say Platinum because of all the things I like:

- Gym Leader cafe where you can also rematch the Stat Trainers
- Battle Frontier
- Underground. I loved mining :D
- Seals. They're collectibles :3
- Errands to kill time as long as they weren't event pokemons
- Contests, but the lack of combos were disappointing

Re: Which game has the biggest amount of your PERSONAL favourite features?

Ok its a close one between HGSS and B2W2

HGSS has the Apricorns, Pokegear, Pokethlon, Battle Frontier, following Pokemon
B2W2 has PokeStudios, World Tournament,

Ok actually it wasn't that hard after all, HGSS is the winner!

Re: Which game has the biggest amount of your PERSONAL favourite features?

Ooh it's a tough choice between Platinum and HGSS.

Platinum:
  • Underground
  • Seals
  • VS seeker
  • Battle Frontier
HGSS:
  • Following Pokémon
  • Pokéathlon
  • Apricorns
  • Battle Frontier
Following Pokémon and the Pokéathlon are both my most favourite features though, so I think HGSS wins.

Re: Which game has the biggest amount of your PERSONAL favourite features?

@Meta Boss;

Why not add a poll, think you can still add one?

Re: Which game has the biggest amount of your PERSONAL favourite features? (POLL ADDE

HGSS hands down. It had so many features that were just outright fun and made it feel so different than the other games.

-Following Pokemon
-Pokewalker
-Pokeathlon (way better than contests, contests are garbage)
-CUSTOMIZABLE SAFARI ZONE YOOOOOOO

Just so much fun stuff in an already good game, 10/10.

Re: Which game has the biggest amount of your PERSONAL favourite features? (POLL ADDE

I think the Pokeathlon is unique in many ways. But for me it is inferior to contests, especially Contest Spectaculars from ORAS. Those are superior to all other side games imo, and actually have their own original PLOT, unlike the other sidegames. You face Lisia, Chaz and (future Champion) Wallace, and learn a lot of cool background for said characters.

They are both good though.

Disagree with you. The contests were useless and unreliable. Not to mention you are forced to do them for Lucario's mega stone. The Pokeathlon was more fun and better by a mile. HGSS had better features than ORAS but the game that has the most is BW2 games. Black Tower/White Forest was amazing and PWT was incredible. BW2 is has far better features than ORAS by 10 miles.

I disagree with you as well. I like both but I think Spectaculars are the best side competition.

I agree that B2W2 is the most complete game to date, but this thread is about YOUR favourite features, not about which game has the MOST features. And the exclusive features in ORAS (Resort + Maison, Contest Spectaculars, Sneaking+ Dex Nav, Soaring, Diving, Super Secret Bases, 360 degree walking for the first time ever, pokemon appearing in the overworld, Delta Episode, Primals, going to Space, etc, etc, etc) are my favourite features. I think they are the highest quality features we have had to date.

I love the PWT though, B2W2 is my second ranked game.

On a side note, the Lucarionite is a very common Megastone, as it is present in BOTH XY and ORAS. Many people have both games, so they have one spare Lucarionite for desperate people like you ;) So that is easy to solve.

G/S/C hands down. Complete and utter game changer.

Dark & Steel types, Day/Night cycle & in game time, timed events (like the family members you could only meet on certain days of the week), breeding, shiny Pokemon, Pokerus, baby Pokemon, 2 regions in one game...and then Crystal went and added moving sprites, the Battle Tower, and the ability to pick your PC gender. Gen II is arguably the most progressive gen IMO. Day/Night is possibly my favourite feature in Pokemon, it added so much to the games for me.

Honourable shoutouts to DP & X/Y, though. D/P introduced the Physical/Special split which was brilliant, and also finally gave us a snowy area of a region, and X/Y brought us 3D graphics and the Fairy type.

Well I don't like ORAS as much as the other games. The other games have better features such as Battle Frontier, Pokeathlon, Black Tower, etc. My favorite was the PWT in BW2. Also I have a Lucarionite in my game and I am not desperate.

I know you don't like ORAS. But this is not the subject of debate...

And I thought you were desperate because you are always repeating how it is hard to obtain.
