They. Need. RESmakes.
I don't really want FRLG remade because they're already remakes, but it might be cool to get a remake of Yellow, and carry on doing that, so in Gen 6 you get a remake of Crystal and so on.

RSEMakes or sequels. There has never been a sequel other then GS.

I would absolutely LOVE a sequel to Gale of Darkness :D Heck, even something just along the same style and feel as Colo/XD but a bit more fleshed out, and include trainer style customization! >:O

Out of those, RSE is the obvious choice. FRLG are already remakes of the original games, and it'd be kind of a waste for them to waste game space remaking that and simply adding in more sidequests to a pair of games that are essentially nullified of any purpose, considering everything available in them is already accssible through HGSS and probably will be accessible for Black and White with the Dream World in the future. None of the other choices in the poll seem worthwhile to put on the 3DS, or for me to even tackle for that matter.

None. This generation has been self-contained so far (while appropriately relying on the previous DS games) and I see nothing wrong with keeping it that way, as long as Generation VI is released in 2013. Once evolutions of older Pokémon are introduced and the mythology is expanded, then sequels of past generations will be appealing.

When I here Generation 3 game, the spinoffs of Pokemon comes to mind in addition to the main games, like Trozei and Colosseum or XD. Both of these have no Generation 4 sequel, in addition to Pokemon Pinball. In that case, they are neat, although I feel Trozei may not be an appealing idea to explore again. The other two sound like sound choices.

In terms or main games, then I would like a delay on that prospect, because I would prefer the gratification of the sequel to be a lot more welcomed by many fans. In fact, I feel that it will feel a lot more rewarding if they do this later than soon. For now, the third version will introduce our new Battle Frontier and move tutors.

Thanks for reading.

A remake isn't supposed to be possible because of the time running.
Remake was possible in Gen 3 because they reseted the timeline to the beginning.
According to folks you meet in-games, Gen 5 is definitly after gen 4.

I may be wrong but:

1. Colosseum: 2 to 5 years before gen 3(?)
2. Gen 1 and 3: Kanto and Hoenn
3. Gales of darkness - 5 Years after Colosseum
4. Gen 2 and 4: Jotho and Sinnoh - 3 years after Kanto and Hoenn
5. Gen 5

What would be possible is something like Gold and Silver. So a new region and story including Hoenn as a second region after you beat Elite 4.
Or simply a new story in Hoenn but from my point that would be a shame.

A new story like Colo/XD on Wii U would be very nice. With DreamWorld etc...

XD sequel. Both Colosseum and XD were different and interesting, but they were of average quality. Maybe with their third attempt, they'll finally take the steps necessary to make something amazing. I'm also curious about what happened to Cipher after the events of XD.

then how come there are many reference to remakes (a plasma grunt didn't mention team
aqua/magma ,a robust remake of the elite 4 theme, reintroduction of the battle girl class, and trainer sets on pokemon.com)
as well as a game freak official stating she''ll see about it AND a trend set of remakes.
think about it they can bump it up on the ladder of events.

There will be no sequels, it isn't what Nintendo would do. There will also be no remakes of the third games, so the RS remake is the only option which is likely to happen.

For a generation 3 game I would love to see Emerald back as a remake on 3DS, or DS. I loved Ruby and Sapphire, but I always find the third games better in each generation because of the added places and features they usually provide in the special editions.

I don't understand the reference you're talking about. you're talking about goodies/TGC and anime?
Well Gamefreaks can do whatever they want but a simple remake can't match the ladder of events. At least not put a gen 3 story in gen 5.

Anyway, i guess the remake wouldn't be for FR/LG. Already a remake + Kanto can be visited in HG/SS.
For hoenn i see 2 possibilies
-New character, new story and bigger region a few years after plasma/aqua team incidents
-Remake + time travel

I want to and expect to see the RSE Remakes. I'd also like another special Pikachu edition to be released though it'd be updated obviously.
