Well as the title says, I am wondering on over all opinion, power of said Pokemon, usefullness etc. Basically If you have to have only one set of Legendaries which would it be?

Hmm, good question. I like D/P legendaries more because most of them are Dragon-types and one's a god.

Honestly, I'm not a big fan of the Shinnoh Legends (especially the Lake Trio...). Now, having said that, I like Hoenn best. Between Groudon and Kyogre having mass type coverage (and their abilities), Raquaza being rather good, the Lati twins, and of course, the Regis, there was a lot to choose from.

I honestly have to say I like the GSC legendaries best, especially Lugia and Suicune. The first pokemon game I got was Silver, and the first legendary dog I caught was Suicune, explaining my reasoning. Pretty much everything except the graphics from gen 2 is better IMO.

Pretty much everything except the graphics from gen 2 is better IMO.

Except Kanto. :p

I think G/S/C had the worst legendaries. It had only 6 legendaries, and while R/B/Y only had 5, half of them were pretty much worthless as legendaries. Ho-Oh is pretty much a Moltres clone except a little stronger, two of the legendary beasts are clones of Zapdos and Moltres except much weaker, top that off with the fact that you have to chase after them, and Celebi is easily the weakest event legendary, and arguably one of the weakest legendaries of all.

Kanto Legends

Moltres > Ho-oh > Entei
Zapdos > Raikou
Articuno > Regice
Mew > Mewtwo > Uxie > Jirachi > Azelf > Latios > Mesprit > Cresselia > Deoxys > Latias > Lugia >>>>>>>>> Celebi

The Kanto legendaries, because they aren't important to the plot at all, and are better than GSC's smelly dogs/cats/wastes of space. The overimportance of Legendaries in the plots of post GS games=bad.

Well if they were real ^^, I would say Deoxys or Mew. Simply because Deoxys has the ability to change and adapt to its situation and Mew can use every move known to man.

EDIT: Woops, I allways think of ubers and legends as the same. Meh o well, Deoxys is the pwnzorz, and I don't know which categorie Mew falls under XD

Hmm... Now that I think of it, I thought the legendary bird trio was the coolest.

I liked the D/P legendaries, if only for the volume. You had Dialga/Palkia, the lake trio, Cresselia, Giartina, Heatran, Arceus, Shemi, and Darkrai. But the best legendaries for me were the Kanto legendaries because that was my first game, and they were not the sole plot of the game. Stupid nintendo, and their plot-centric legendaries.

I like the Kanto legendaries. Mew can learn EVERY move and the legendary birds cover type variety. Sure, there are more in the later gens, but these guys are the originals and have great stats.

It's close, but I'd lean towards Gen 2. Lugia and Ho-oh are, and still are, beasts. Entei, Suicune and Raikou, being mono-types, are better than the Gen 1 birds. The best legendary overall appears in Gen 3 (Kyogre), but Gen 2 had the best balance and two amazing legends.

Tough call between Hoenn and Kanto. Sinnoh has too many legendaries for me (last count, 12, not including Phione, who as the offspring of a legendary doesn't really count) and the dogs/cats/beasts of Johto have nothing on the birds of Kanto, or even the golems of Hoenn (it goes birds>golems>lake trio>d/c/b). But I think I would choose Hoenn overall, if only because Kyogre was the first legendary I ever caught (I had killed them all for experience prior to Sapphire, due to me being only seven-ish years old at the time.)

My favorites are the the Kanto and Johto legendaries actually. I think that the Hoenn ones are okay. Many of the Sinnoh ones kinda scare me though, especially since it becomes possible to capture time, space, and god. I've never been completely comfortable with that for some reason. *shrug*

My favourite is the Kanto Legendaries. I love the original pokemon the best. They had the best creativity and it was new. Though I absolutely HATE legendaries, I like the Kanto the best. I don't like the fact that everyone has the legendaries. I think it would be cool to have more of the version exclusives, like you get Giratina or Heatran. Sorry for getting off topic. I get carried away. Well, as mentioned before about the Kanto legendaries, they were the first ones, so they were extremely unique. It gave you the special feeling when you first see them on your very first game. You feel overjoyed that you are finally fighting one of the biggest and baddest pokemon out there. But those times have gone, as the pokemon world expands. The types often get common and when you see another legendary, you say, "Oh, that one is a copy of Moltres." Though I like the fact that they are making the double type pokemon, it does get repetitive. I have said enough. If you want me to go more in depth, e-mail me at [email protected]. Hope you understand all that I said. Byebye!

Heatran redefines awesomeness. I mean, because it's like a regular guy...I dunno, I'd love to hang with him.

Ho-oh is not a Moltres clone.

Let's see, both are legendary Pokemon, both are Fire/Flying types, both are Phoenixes, need I go on? Saying Ho-Oh isn't a clone of Moltres is like saying Dr. Mario isn't a clone of Mario.

And what the fuck are you playing that ranks Celebi as 'one of the weakest legendaries of all'?

Exactly what I said. Celebi is one of the weakest legendaries of all. It's common knowledge.
