Which generation looks the best?

In terms of pokemon design,which pokemon look the best,throughout the generation?

My favourite pokemon design's have to be gen 3.I don't quite know why,but it just seems special to me in a nostalgic way.
 
Gens 1 and 2 had easily the best pokemon designs to me. Gen 5 being the worst IMO
 
Every gen has at least a few bad designs. Overall though, I think Gen II and III has the best designs.
 
I have been around since Gen 1 and I say they all look great from Gen 1 to Gen 5. I can't fault most of the Pokemon designs, as most of them are very imaginative bar a few exceptions (Trubbish, Garbodor etc.).
 
Gen III and IV are my faves, a lot of cool-looking Pokemon in there. I think Gen I is the most boring.
 
Gen I had some neat designs, but a lot of them were pretty bad.

Gen II had some memorable Pokemon, but some forgettable ones as well.

Overall, Gen III was pretty good.

Gen IV had the most number of designs I didn't care for. My favorite ones were the evolutions of previous Pokemon.

Gen V had a lot of great designs, but some bad ones as well.

I guess I'm going for Gens V and III, with Gen II coming in third.
 
Generation III and Generation V.
Generation IV games are my favorites, but the Pokémon in Sinnoh aren't as beautiful as the ones in Hoenn and Unova. But they also aren't ugly.

To be honest, the only generation which I heavily dislike the designs is Generation II.
90% of the Pokémon from there are boring/forgettable.
 
Generation V, hands down.

Best overall designs, though there are some bad ones. They are all incredibly varied anyways, possibly the most varied generation. That is always good.


I have a suspiction that one of the reasons Gen I feels boring and bad is partially from the result of not picking all the pokémon they wanted. There are some neat designs, but it seems that the crazier pokémon were the ones that got shelved in favour of keeping things simple.
 
I don't get the hate for gen 4 Pokemon. I loved most of them. It has most of my favorite designs. Gen 5 and 2 come in second, followed by 1, then 3. I'm sorry, but I disliked a lot of gen 3 Pokemon. They were just...ugly.
 
Every generation has their ups and their downs; their Charizards and their Rattatas, but for me, Generation V really stands out design wise.
 
I'm probably biased because Gen III was the generation that got me hooked, but I love the Gen III designs. They're colorful, well-designed and vibrant.
 
For me, its III > IV > I > II > V

Or atleast, thats how i currently. My opinion on this matter changes alot though Gen III remains at the top.
 
I'd say Generation V. All the Gen V Pokemon have great designs, are very imaginative, and they're all memorable, too.
 
I'd say Gen V had the best design graphics, but different Pokemon look better in different Gens imo.
 
Gen III had some great designs. I'm not a HUGE fan of Gen I, because I didn't enjoy some of the insanely simple, not too creative designs they had. I like Gen V as well.
