which movie do you people think have the worst title i think its probably the Japanese title of the 12th movie and the English title of the 11th movie.
What do you guys think?

Pokemon 4Ever.

"Forever", or any ridiculous play on the word, is my least favorite subtitle. Waaaaay too many movies use it.

Yeah. Definitely "Pokemon 4ever". I also particularly don't like the Movie 9 title.

yup another vote for Pokemon 4Ever here. It should have been something pertaining to Celebi being the forest's protector. I can see they were trying to illustrate the time travel thing with Oak, but come on you can do better than that.

I was about 10 when pokemon 4ever came out. I loved the title because i found it SO cleaver how they would integate the number the movie was (in the series) and have it fit so well. May favourite was pokemon 2000, i wanted to grow up to be clever enough to come up with titles like this. I have grown up since then :D and must also put my vote in for pokemon 4ever being the worst title of all.

4Ever, and 2000 - I mean, what was with that anyway? I never understood what 2000 had to do with the movie...

It was the year the movie came out. And since it was the second movie I bet 4Kids was feeling they were being extra clever.

I'm not sure how anyone can't think 4Ever is a terrible title.

I'll bet they thought that too. But yeah, it's a horrible title. That said, Pokemon: the First Movie, sorta makes it sound like thos ppl on YouTube that get the initial comment in. "First!"

But yeeeah, I'd say the 4th is worst.

At least the more recent english film titles have something to do with the actual film, I mean honestly, 1-5 are just redundant titles. Might as well be called "Untitled".

The pun, 4ever, is lame...but it makes perfect sense with the fact that Celebi can travel through time...and time is something that lasts forever.

mind you since they have stopped putting the numbers in the title i cant confidently say the order, i think heros came after 4ever and since jirachi wishmaker and destiny deoxys were never released in Australia i dont know where they fit in. But Mewtwo Returns was released here and advertised as the FOURTH movie.

And ii kanji it was released in Japan in 1999 and renamed for America where it was released in the summer of 2000

I'm not a fan of a lot of the English movie titles, really:

Pokemon The First Movie - It's pretty tacky to pretty much say that you *know* there's gonna be sequels. I can't think of any other movie franchise big-headed enough to do the same.

Pokemon 2000 - Putting the year the movie was released in the title itself? That's beyond lame. It also makes the movie seem hideously dated.

Pokemon 3 The Movie - Way to just shoehorn the number three into the title, guys.

Pokemon 4Ever - Pokemon 4...Forever...haw haw haw

Pokemon Heroes - A rather bland and generic title, if you ask me. So the other four movies didn't have heroes in them or something? That's what this movie's going to be known for? But hey, at least it's not "Pokemon 5 The Movie."

Jirachi Wish Maker - Kind of Engrish-y if you ask me.

Destiny Deoxys - So what is Deoxys' destiny? To meet its friend? It's kind of a vague title, if you ask me.

Lucario and the Mystery of Mew - I don't remember the whole "Mew has some mystery surrounding it" being a big part of the movie, yet it's a plot point that finds its way into the movie's title. Huh.

Pokemon Ranger and the Temple of the Sea - No complaints about this one, actually. Tells you exactly what you need to know without any random BS getting in the way.

The Rise of Darkrai - The title makes it sound like it's going to be an origin story for Darkrai or show how it gained its power or something. But none of that happens in this movie. But to be fair, the Japanese title for this movie was pretty terrible as well.

Giratina and the Sky Warrior - Eh, I'd argue that Shaymin isn't a "warrior" as much as it's a "unwilling participant" in the events that occur, but otherwise it's not too bad.

Interestingly enough, the stupidity of the two first English movie titles was recognized by most foreign distributors. The movies were renamed "Pokemon the Movie" and "Pokemon 2" pretty much everywhere (not that those names are the pinnacle of creativity or anything, but hey, it's better than what 4Kids came up with).

As for worst, "Pokemon Heroes" wins out. Were they just pulling a random word out of a hat or something? It doesn't make sense in the slightest.

What about "Mewtwo Returns," given it was a special about the same length of a movie.

That title was fitting.
