I for one would say the team rocket trio have better backstories than all the main characters, but who has the better one.
All of them seem to heavily be about love and them making the wrong decisions in life.
Jessie was brought up very poor, assumingly in an awfonige after her mother was lost during her mission to capture Mew. Her up bringing was harsh, she even ate snow and considered it her favourite meal. When she grew up, she had a lot of failed dreams, failed at Poketech, failed at being a nurse and failed at becoming a dancer. She also tragically let the love of her life leave while aspiring to the latter dream. Most sad of all, he left to become a coordinator, somthing she would later become very good at. She eventually joined Team rocket training where she was impossible to work with... that's where her backstory meets James's and Meowth's.
James on the other hand was brought up by two filthy rich nut jobs. He had mansion's all over the world and took lessons for almost everything, contributing to many of his skills that he demonstrated on the show. He loved Pokemon, having his Growlie, helping a Carnivine out of the mud and having his heart melted by Chimecho. He also spent many summers playing with pokemon at his Grandma and Grandads house. He met a young Jessibelle at one of his parents parties and became smitten. On finding this out, his parent were like "Our James likes that girl, we'll get him that girl". Unfourtunatly James found out that Jessibelle was about as sane as the love child of Discord and Cackletta. So he spent a lot of his life running from the *****. He came to TR training school, cool and charming.
Meowth was a street cat that nobody cared about, he joined a gang of Meowth led by a Persian. He soon fell for a classy and pampered Meowth, who might I remind you was also a *****. He aspired to walk on his hind legs and even speak "human speak", when he accomplished this outstanding and seemingly impoosible task, Meowzie told him he was a freak. He eventually joined Team rocket.
But which backstory is better?
