As I got no response to a question in an existing thread thought I'd create one instead.

Anyways, I was doing some research in regards to the banned Jynx episodes on the season 2 DVD set and which DVD releases contained them and ones that had them missing (referencing the Bulbapedia wiki amongst other sites). Unfortunately though, I didn't realise Beyond Home Entertainment had re-released the original 2010 Digipak set with the same cover and all a couple of months back and removed these eps off this set too. What caught me out with this is the boxset still stating it has the 52eps on it and all... that's until after you buy it and play the discs and find out they're not on them!

So a quick question for anyone who has purchased the Australian DVDs. I've read conflicting info in different places, but does the 2014 Slimline region 4 release contain these episodes?. Seems there's multiple releases of this set too. Someone on another forum told me they have this release and it has them on theirs but on Bulba wiki it says this is not the case.
BHE certainly make collecting the correct season releases as hard as possible with all constant re-releases.

Any help is much appreciated.

Ask the person on the other forum for proof those missing episodes are in fact on there. I don't own any of the Australian DVDs myself but I recall 2014 being the year TPCi removed those episodes from the official episode guide and weekly stream rotation.

Thanks I will.

The forum I've asked the question of is on Serebii. Seems genuine but maybe the 2014 original release had them and any following re-releases didn't?

Would this one on here contain the missing episodes? Pokemon : Season 2 | Slimline - DVD Warehouse

So difficult to get the "proper" release these days....

Bump!

I'm waiting on a reply from the member on the other forum.

Can anyone else shed some light on this? I'm confused as to what season 2 release to get now that has them on it. :(

I'm still peeved that even after the design change they still remove the Jynx episodes? Also I still wonder if the Girafarig and Fortune Teller (maybe Ursaring) episodes are still not included of the Johto Journeys DVDs

Here's the response I received:

I posted a screenshot of the DVD menu from Pokemon Season 2 Disc 2 at http://i.imgur.com/s94qAN8.png

I bought the the first three slimline Pokemon season sets from the Beyond Home Entertainment booth at the Supanova Pop Culture Expo a few years ago, when they were first released.

There are only two slimline releases of the Pokemon season sets on DVD I know of:
Season 1 Part 1/2 - BigW exclusive I think, that never went beyond two parts
Repackage of all earlier seasons - Initially exclusive to Sanity, followed by release to all shops.

I suspect the confusion might be due to the later releases (Pokemon season sets bonus T-shirts, Adventures In Kanto & Orange Island), which could be using slimline packaging too. As I noticed similar complaints on Beyond Home Entertainment's Facebook page ( http://www.facebook.com/BeyondHomeEn...type=3&theater ) about the 'Adventures In Kanto & Orange Island' DVD release missing episodes.
