The USA, anywhere here, is big on it. Of course, that's just stating a fact. Where do YOU think it's big in the world besides japan?

I wouldn't say it's all that popular in the USA anymore. Yeah sure it was going back about ten years ago but today the average person doesn't even know that pokemon still exists(at least where I live).

Not Canada, that's for sure. Pokemon's just another game here nowadays. Although they did have the little promotional gifts at Best Buy, they weren't front-door material.

Come to think about it, I'm not sure Japan is that big on Pokemon either now - at least not as big as its competitors.

No, I'm pretty sure they still are. They'd have to be will all the pokemon stuff that goes on there.

Living in England, I can say that aside from the Video Games and TCG, it's dead. Game shops go into an advertising frenzy when new games are released, and that's it.

The anime is constantly looped (We only got half of Galactic Battles before repeats began). Merchandise is nowhere; even Toys R Us, only really only sells the little figures similar to the original Kibago leak.

Sure, the games are still widely available and the TCG is too, both getting TV adverts.

Although, PokéPark Wii has been promoted like crazy. I'm glad TPCi brought VGC over here in 2009 and 2010, otherwise, I'd have thought I was the last of a dying race.

Okay, I got this from some reporter who was writing a story about Pokémon and its popularity:

1. Japan (well duh)
2. The US
3. Norway

I'm guessing he's correct. Pokémon's pretty big over here in Norway.

I imagine that it's not the most popular franchise, I mean.

They have a television show other than the anime devoted entirely to Pokemon. Coro Coro regularly devotes at least 6 pages to Pokemon alone. Pokemon is the second best selling video game franchise of all time, behind Mario.

I think it's a popular franchise.

Asia
Europe
Africa
North America
Australia
South America
Antarctica

And that's the order. This comes from the majority of the people on here and some thinking. I know here in midwest America it's dead. I get really excited if I find even ONE person who still likes it.

USA, Europe, Asia, South America, Canada, Mexico...pretty much most of the world considering the anime has been dubbed into like 33 languages (I think because I rwead it somewhere).

USA, mostly...at least where I live, it seems like everyone knows about Pokemon.

I also hear a lot about Pokemon from Europe and Mexico. And then, a few places in Asia are to be expected.

Where I live, they have a Pokemon league for the games and TCG, but I don't know how big it is exactly.

I would say anywhere that still hosts TCG and Video Game tournaments regularly.

But having said that, just because a group hosts it doesn't mean that it is big there, but even so, having fewer competitors at said tournament may have something to do with qualifying for larger tournaments. So I really am not sure.

I think all franchises like Pokemon go through their heydays, then slowly fade. Although, Pokemon is fun for any RPG fan, I think. Pokemon opened me up to other RPG franchises, like Final Fantasy. But back to what I was saying before, Pokemon will go away, or become a more cult following, like say Diablo or the original Fallout games on the PC.

Brazil.Well,it's not that strong in pokémon, but there are a lot of fans here.Just find any brazilian site about pokémon and you'll see.
