Well, game is much more... official?... well, correct than the Anime. Her name on the manga would be Platina/Platinum, since Dia(mond) is already the name of "Lucas" and Pearl the name of the Rival.
Anyway, I hope they won't name Blue, Leaf. That name is as stupid as Ike's line in Brawl; and trust me, Ike fights for his friends! Just name her Blue, or something! And then make the rival also, named Green! Hell, that would be the first step for the change of the character confusion between Blue and Green!
I mean... I also grew up with the Pokemon Anime, I used to love it, world was going round it, but heh... In some point they just went too far... They are simply doing the same thing for 11 years now. Because it should be noticed that all playable characters and rivals which are to be named, except for the two latest generations, where some of them have default names, have version names. Even Pearl, is named... Pearl. So, there is a naming option like this. Characters as players can have a version name, while as NPCs, they can have a real name. And when they are all to be gathered, with no Player and no NPC, I find it much more logical for everyone to have version names instead of default ones. That's my opinion anyway.
