Who are Ash's top 14 pokemon?

Assuming Ash wins the sixth or seventh generation league and starts preparing to face the elite four and the champion. Obviously he won't be able to train all his pokemon to an incredibly high level so he would have to focus on certain pokemon instead. What 14 pokemon should Ash focus on training assuming he has to face the elite four and the champion? In other words, who do you think are his top 14 pokemon?

My picks:

1. Pikachu- its an obvious choice, its his only electric type, plus its won so many battles. Its small and fragile but still a great pokemon to have

2. Charizard- Obvious pick

3. Squirtle- still his best water type, like pikachu its small and fragile but tremendously experienced

4. Bulbasaur- can support the team very well with leech seed, excellent experience and fighting spirit

5. Snorlax- it can usually put away atleast two powerful pokemon on its own. Terrefic defense and a good movepool too, Snorlax is a must have pick for Ash

6. Heracross- has become alot stronger, plus its his only bug type pokemon

7. Donphan- i can see why some people might be against this pick since he has two other ground types (who also are both dual typed whereas Donphan is only a ground type). Still Donphan is so strong, i can't help pick it.

8. Sceptile- it can take down a legendary, enough said

9. Swellow- his most determined flying type

10. Glaile- like Snorlax, Glaile could usually take down a couple of the oppositions pokemon, sometimes even at a type disadvantage. He also really needs an ice type, especially when facing dragon type pokemon

11. Infernape- great ability, plus its a fire-fighting type which gives it an advantage over a pure fire type

12. Buizel- buizel is a quality battler, plus his only water type with an ice type move

13. Gliscor- gliscor gets in not only because of its strength but also its versatility

14. Gible- is really inexperienced but can hopefully evolve and become a real weapon for Ash

Honorable mentions go to Buizel, Staraptor, Corphish who I didn't list. Gible too. They're all his strongest top tier pokemon.

i am very surprised people are picking Torterra, what exactly did it do since it evolved? I never saw it as all that strong, even when it evolved. To me its inferior to Sceptile and even Bulbasaur
 
1. Pikachu: Obvious
2. Charizard: Obvious
3. Staraptor: Many people say Swellow is Ashs strongest bird. I do not agree. Staraptor has way more better moves and is powerful.
4. Infernape: Think of what it did to Ninjask, Aggron and Electivire.
5. Sceptail: Poor Darkrai...
6. Krookodile: Good movepool and strong.
7. Palpitoad: OK maybe it is only I who picked him but he can be really strong if he got the chance. And his movepool are actually good.
8. Glaile: Only Ice type Ash has.
9. Bulbasaur: One of his oldest pokemon. Has gone through many battles.
10. Squirtle: Same thing as Bulbasaur.
11. Torterra: Actually really strong. If Ash trains with it to learn to use it without its speed so can it be BADASS.
12. Pignite: He took a Hydregion down. And lots of other pokemon too.
13. Heracross: He is really strong and has a good movepool with Sleep Talk as a defend in case of someone uses a move like Sing.
14. Leavanny: It can use a good strategy(Charizard can not)and is really agile with strong moves.
15. Snorlax: Ashs fattest powerhouse.

And then a comment about Torterra. It is very strong but slow and the writers wanted to overuse Infernape, Gible and Pikachu and show them as undefeatable. And then someone must be the fall guy...

Ash trusted it enough to use vs an elite four, and a factory brain. I doubt DP Ash would have trusted many to go up vs them. Ofc now he'll probably use Mijumaru vs an E4 or something so take it with a grain of salt.

1.Charizard- Ash's most consistent Powerhouse, beat 3 Pokemon by itself in a 6v6 matched only by..
2.Infernape- Wiped out 3 Pokes in a 6v6, A pokesaiyan with blaze.
3. Pikachu- Haxxed its way to 1-1-0(W/D/L) vs Legendaries.
4.Sceptile- Beat a legendary fair and square, could probably have beaten regirock.
5. Snorlax- Most league wins of any Ash poke AFAIK.
6. Krookodile- Beat dragonite, Leipard, and swak while weakened.
7. Staraptor- Most powerful of the birds, little to no BS wins.
8. Kingler- BEst water Ash has.
9. Heracross- Sleep trolling, general powerhouse, beat down a scizor backed by power of SCIENCE.
10. Glalie- Best Hoenn pokemon ash had pre BF.
11. Torterra- Hey, if you're chosen to go up vs a E4 without a predetermined plot excuse you gotta be powerful.
12. Gible- Gotta hand it to the guy for knowing DM and beating Trick room.
13. Swellow- Meh, even though its tank like feathers were punctured by the depleted uranium missile known as luster purge you did good.
14. Tauros.

My Choices:
1) Charizard- Ash most powerful fire type
2) Staraptor- one of the better birds
3)Secptile- one of Ash's better Grass Type
4) Snivy- 2nd best grass type with a move that affects most pokemon 50% of the time (loved how it took out Trip Servine in its first battle)
5) Snorlax- Easily one of the powerhouses
6) Krookodile- The best of the Unova pokemon
7) Gible-
8) Buizel- the Best water type of Ash
9) Unfezant- can you name any of Ash's birds that help capture a pokemon, much less a starter, and a starter that taken down all but one of Ash's pokemon with one move?
10) Pikachu-
11) Bayleef- the grass type with pure power
12) Noctowl- the choice for fighting ghost types
13) Donphan-
14) Infernape- Ash's 2nd best fire type
 
I don't think any of Ash's Unova Pokemon deserve to be on this list except for Krookodile. Ash's Unova team pales in comparison to his past ones.

true. Snivy can use attract but is still far behind the other four grass types. I had high hopes for Oshawatt but it turned out pretty disappointing. Krookodile was handled well though.
