Well, I saw a few arguments about this series' personality quiz. While a lot of people praises the story of this series, some others argued that it has a plothole, that being who did the personality quiz? In Blue/Red Rescue Team, it was clear Gardevoir asked you the quiz. Then who did it in Explorers of Darkness/Time/Sky?

I did not answer to that question on where I saw the argument (that being youtube, where I don't have an account by that time and didn't plan to make one) and I don't intend to reply there now due to the conversation being years old. And I thought someone on the internet will probably came up with the same conclusion that I got. (And as far as what I can find, no one came to the same conclusion with me)

Although I don't have physical proof for this in the game and it just being a theory, I do find it being the only possibility that the quiz exists. Lets start out with lining up the events until the quiz happened.

Darkrai corrupts Dialga > Time Stops > Grovyle and Main Character set out to the past to undo this > Main Character got seperated from Grovyle > Quiz > Main Character is found by Partner on the beach with amnesia and became a Pokemon

But how did the Main Character became a Pokemon? It was never explained.

But if we put another event that we learnt from the Special Episodes in Explorers of Sky, that being Bidoof's Wish, we can deduce who asked the quiz.

Darkrai corrupts Dialga > Time Stops > Grovyle and Main Character set out to the past to undo this > Main Character got seperated from Grovyle > Bidoof made the wish to Jirachi > Jirachi asked the quiz and turned Main Character into Pokemon > Main Character is found by Partner on the beach with amnesia and became a Pokemon > Main Character and Partner joined Wigglytuff's Guild fulfilling Bidoof's Wish

If Main Character remained a human, that might scare away the Partner and they might never form a team and join Wigglytuff's Guild, if thats the case Jirachi failed to make the wish come true. Since we know that the wish will come true because it was made to Jirachi, I think that Jirachi was responsible of turning Main Character into Pokemon, and if that was the case, there is a high possibility that Jirachi was responsible for the quiz.

Well, let me know if there is any holes in this theory and I would like to hear everyone's thought on this topic.

Oh boy I completely forgot about the complexity that is the plot in these games. But your story does make sense, good spot!

I never really thought about who asked the quiz, but it does make sense that it would be Jirachi. I support this.

It might've been Darkrai, who was the reason there were time travel problems.

Wow, I never thought about that. Heck, I never thought about Gardevoir asking you the questions in the first game.

The only hole I can see with the theory is that the main character becoming a Pokemon was an accident. Darkrai tried to kill them, but instead they were just transformed into a Pokemon. (If memory serves me correctly) So I personally don't see how Jirachi could have been involved with all of that. Bidoof's wish was just for more rookies to join the guild, which happened, but I don't think it was to the extent that Jirachi assisted in making the main character a Pokemon. If anything, I think Jirachi's only involvement would have been the partner finding the player and them both joining the guild. But that's just my theory.

As for who ask's the questions, idk about that. Like I said, I never thought about an in-story character asking the questions. I assumed that was outside the realm of the story.
