It's that time again! The months of crazy anticipation between the announcement of a brand new Pokémon game and its actual release. Unfortunately, as with all games, this does mean that there will be those out there making fake magazine scans and such to try and fool people (because apparently it's fun?). So for the sake of sanity, here is a list of sources you can trust and those you cannot trust:
Can Trust:
Can't Trust:
Japan's CoroCoro Magazine will most likely be a reliable source of information in the months to come, so it is worth keeping in mind that new issues are typically released on the 15th of every month (and will probably leak around the 11th). It is highly likely that fakes will be released around this period, so keep a close eye out! Even sources in the "Trust" list have been fooled before.
Can Trust:
- BulbaNews Network (although note that information posted on BulbaNewsNow may not be verified at the time of posting)
- IGN
- Kotaku
- GameSpot
- Pokebeach.com
- Pokexperto.net
- Serebii.net
Can't Trust:
- HYDRA
- PokéJungle
- Social Media Websites (such as Facebook, Twitter and especially Tumblr)
- YouTube (EXCLUDING the official Nintendo and Pokémon channels)
