Mods, sorry if this isn't allowed. This conversation came up in the So, how is it? thread and I guessed it would be a good idea for those of us who haven't gotten the game yet to talk about the game.

In this thread, you can discuss things like: what are you most looking forward to now that we know some of the features? Are you as worried as I am about missing out on all the fun? Which version are you getting? Are you going to attempt the pokémon adventure challenge? And everything else, really.

I'm getting X next week and it's been hard to avoid reading all the spoilers. I'm really excited! I didn't think I'd be so interested since I stopped being as dedicated to Pokémon in general as I was years ago, but I'm loving everything I've read about the new features. I think I might do the challenge, though I have trouble keeping up with blogging and I might be away from the Internet when I start playing (because of personal stuff, not avoiding it on purpose) so I don't really know.

By the way, keep spoilers to a minimum, please. You can use the spoiler tags instead.

well i still haven't decided whether i'll get the game or pass on it. i really want to get it but the 3ds+game is pretty expensive and this is that mid-term exams moment of the semester so i dont know if it would be the wise thing to do. i have been keeping myself very informed on prety mucho every aspect of the game non plot related and it looks pretty good. i dont think im gonna do the challenge, but i am pretty excited about the new features such as wonder trade

Like most game, unless the pre-order bonus is appealing, I wait a month or two when everything is revealed before deciding if the replay value is worth buying. Much has been learned thanks to those who obtained their copies early but not the important tidbits, which I guess is meant to be part of the surprise than negligence. So I may wait until nearing the end of the Blazikenite wielding Torchic distribution wi-fi event.

I don't have it yet. I plan on getting Y, because I like the design of Yveltal. I also want Spritzee, which is exclusive to Y. My brother is gonna get X. As for the Pokemon Adventure Challenge, I hadn't heard of it until I checked this thread, but upon reading the post, I decided I'm going to do it.

Alas, if I had the money and no backlog of games to complete, I would most likely be playing either X or Y right now. I do plan on getting X for Christmas though, which is after I (hopefully) finish the aforementioned backlog.

Funny thing actually, I wasn't at all planning on buying either game until recently when I came across plot spoilers.

Unlike most I'm getting Y purely because of Yveltal although the megas for X do look more appealing. I hope the game isn't as easy as I've been reading since I like a challenge. I probably wont be able to play it for several weeks either since I have exams and AC4 out soon so a very busy schedule :p

Had a post ready to post but got my game yesterday a full 2 weeks and 2 days earlier than expected thanks to my wonderful mum.
Not sure yet whether it was worth the wait, it seems ok, but I'm tiring of it quickly, can't see it being a laster, think I'll retreat to B and B2 soon after.

I've been wanting this game ever since it was announced, but I have no money to buy it and I probably won't be able to get it before Christmas. When I do finally get my hands on it, I'll start with Y and then get X later along with Bank so I can grind for Charizardite X's. I really feel left out by not having this game, it seems like everyone's having a lot of fun with it. What I'm most excited for is the region itself, the PSS, and the changes in battle mechanics. And I'm not doing that Adventure Challenge thingy, I just want to play the game the way I want to play it.

Remember you also need to shell out for Pokemon Bank, I mean it's only fair that we pay right, Mr Masuda's holiday home won't pay for itself you know. We're gonna need X, Y, Z, W, V, A, B, C, maybe by the time we get to P version we'll have something that resembles a finished product.

With only 70 Pokes, a non existant post storyline, and any challenging aspect having been promptly disposed of by Mr Masuda I can tell you I'm having a whale of a time, sign me up for an advanced copy of Z now!!! /Not!

Remember, this is the thread to share our experiences of not having the game, it would be quite nice of you to keep your opinion on the game and it's content away from this thread. keep in mind that this thread is for people who didn't play the game and possibly don't want to know anything about the content until they experience it themselves. Also, you made very clear your thoughts on pokemon bank and the game in other threads, there's no need to do it here.

Still waiting for my pre-order to arrive. Apparently pre-ordered in Amazon (US) and I don't live there so basically it's a long wait. Because usually in our country these games manage to get sold out fast, so why bother going to the malls and stuff when you can pre-order. In the end, there 3 copies left once I was able to go out and about, which sucks because the pre-order can't be cancelled as it was shipped on that day. Unfortunate, really, it is.

I've only logged back on again now and... so many people who don't have it yet! I'm glad I'm not the only one. I knew I wanted to play it at some point when it was announced but I didn't have a 3DS or a DS (I haven't played the games since like gen 3) so it was kind of not a priority for me... until I started reading about all the new features and I knew I wanted to get it. I ended up getting a 3DS as a gift and I had some money saved up for something else that I used to get the game. I'm hoping it's going to be worth it, I'm really excited.

I've heard it doesn't take long to finish the game but I've also heard that it's easy to take your time and create a challenge for yourself, which is good. I hope I'm right and that I can just take long enough to make it entertaining.

I'm excited for AC4 too, though I might get it for Christmas instead as I like to take my sweet time with the AC games.

What's Pokemon Bank? And I think if you don't have the game, discussing what you think about features (Wonder Trade and Amie, for example) is fine, if anyone objects then we can start putting it behind a spoiler tag with some indication of whether we're talking features or plot. Plot-related things should definitely be behind spoiler tags with a warning about what it is, since I think most people are definitely avoiding that even if we're reading reviews about features.

I don't have the games yet. I don't even have a 3DS yet, either. I'm thinking about waiting a while and see if they might release a third version that is improved, or Hoenn remakes.

I hadn't played since the original games like Pokemon yellow but last year I started rewatching the anime which made me want to play the games so I bought a 3DS and played the games from Platinum till now. Too bad you don't have the money otherwise you could play all the games you've missed out on! My friend showed me his Y game today and it definitely looks great. IGN also did an article about 20 new things that make X & Y great which certainly seem a large improvement

My friend is at the Elite 4 and he's only at 20 hours so yeah it is pretty easy. I hope to go through slower though and alternate between Pokes so I can have a larger team and extend the gameplay a bit.

I'm excited for AC4 too, though I might get it for Christmas instead as I like to take my sweet time with the AC games.

Yeah I loved the naval gameplay parts from AC3 so I'm really looking forward to this one, it is meant to be less linear too which will be good!

Pokemon bank is like a cloud storage service for your Pokemon as far as I know. They made it as an easier way of transferring your Pokemon over from 5th Gen games, but you have to pay a monthly fee for the service I think. It's quite good for people like me who only have one 3DS and can't trade over.

I don't think X & Y have it but I wish they had a challenge mode available from the start as well as a Pokemon world tournament!

Don't have my copy yet. I'm planning on getting X later on, hopefully by the end of the year.

Correction. It's a yearly fee ($5/year to be exact).

It's actually a yearly fee of $5. Cheap, right?
I might be getting my copy today.

Wow if that's it I'm definitely going to get it!
