I am not putting words into her mouth. We had a conversation about this recently, and I am merely paraphrasing what she told me when she saw this thread.

Frankly, I do not know if I trust any of you well enough in your judgments about fashion, based on what has been demonstrated in this thread. Simply the fact that you are questioning my expertise and fame when anypony who is anypony in fashion knows I am Canterlot's chief tastemaker!

You may be Canterlot's chief tastemaker, but what does that prove? Fashion is a relative concept. Whether somepony is dressed fashionably or not is up the pony. You might find an article of clothing horrid, but somepony else might think it to be the most fashionable thing in Equestria. And that's that. Now if only I could get Rarity to see that...
