I see people on here that exclaim "Number One Ash Fan!" and "Misty Fanboy!", ect. in their sigs and avatars. Well, here's your chance to post why you love these certain characters, and what makes them appealing to you.
 
two things: 1. are you zach from Nsider, and 2 I've always been a Blaine fan. Blaine is just so out there. He handles everything secretly and is quiet. He is the one that got me interested in fire pokemon, my third favorite type to train, my 2nd is dragon and my 1st is legendary, he is also the one that made my favorite R,B,Y pokemon Rapidash.

Because I can relate to her a lot and I'm probably just as hated as her because I've also got a pretty bad temper... ^^; I also have WAY too big an ego (which, oddly, is VERY easily deflated and leaves me feeling depressed and down on myself. xD;) And she's so PRETTY~!
And little Jessie is so cute.
And her past is interesting.
Her whole personality's pretty complicated, but makes her interesting all the same. Makes her a tad difficult to roleplay, but even more fun! xD ^^ And she's so much fun to draw... and she's so pretty...
And- I don't know, just-- INTERESTING.
Yeah.
 
You know, I always liked Misty for her general bitchiness. it died out pretty fast, replaced by that prosaic standing-in-the-background-holding-an-egg deal, but young, bitchy Misty lives on in my memories of what i liked about the show to begin with.

Yeah, Mewtwo and Ai get my votes, too, as neat-o movie/drama characters and as innovative, being pokemon's first venture into feature-length-ness. I enjoyed Feruura for the same reaons I liked Misty, and Mii just because she was s'darn cute...I like one-shot movie girls, I guess. Duplica was a lot of fun...

Team Rocket is still fun. I've really enjoyed their descent into self-parody and completely bizarre languistics...I want to see them para-para again...and more cross-dressing.
 
No, I am not Zach from Nsider, lol. You know, I guess my absolute favorite character would have to be...oh, I don't know, I have a lot...especially from XD, for some reason. They seem so much more unique and genuine from the other games, for the most part.

I like Lovrina. She's very unique, and I like the bad girls. Its funny when she pouts and blames stuff on Naps. I like her hair, also.
 
My overall favorite character would have to be Kasumi/Misty. She was always straight to the point and didn't take no .... And her attitude was the greatest, ah, and one other thing, how she so abused Takeshi's ear, XD

Ah, where do I begin... he may come off as just another horny teen boy to some, but there's a lot more to him than that. He's very mature and responsible, and his behavior around girls is quite understandable when put in perspective of what a big heart he has, shown by how fond Pokémon are of him and how much he cares for his friends. If he ever found a girl, I have little doubt he would go to great lengths just to make her happy, and would love her unconditionally... pile on top of that the fact that he's a great cook, a total romantic, and very handsome, and somehow I doubt a more perfect man could have ever been thought up. Now, if only there were more men out there like him...
 
Deja vu. I feel like I've answered this question on this board already.

Anyway, anyone who knows me well enough knows that I've been a Bill fangirl for several years now. It's really hard to explain why, but I chalk it up to one general term: he's heavily misunderstood. He's the quirky geek with the boy-next-door sort of face. Innocent (as most Pokemon characters are, anyway), intelligent, and friendly. Yet above all, he's also human, which is not only an ironic thing (not going into details) but also something a lot of people criticize him for. Yes, he's a genius in his own way, but he's also known to screw up. He's cried in the manga at something incredibly touching (such as the Clefables' evolution), and he's been shown as scared, startled, angry, and a lot of other emotions most background characters don't show. It's obvious that he isn't as strong as other characters (mainly physically), and at times, his actions can be taken as evidence of cowardice.

But you know what? That makes him more believable than a lot of other characters, especially the characters-of-the-day in the anime. (Granted, Bill's anime self only came out as reserved and possibly egotistical until someone bothers to analyze him deeper. But I pretty much did that already, so I'm ignoring that.) It gives him more depth as a character and makes him all the more interesting to play with. (Not that way, dirty leeches.)

So, yes. I started to like Bill because he sounded interesting, but I love him now because I overanalyzed him.

His accents are just bonuses. ♥
 
My favourite character is MISTY. I like her because she is original. Sometimes she is cold and sharp but inside she is always very protective. She knows what she wants and is always tough. Misty is a great dancer (like her sisters). She isn't a crybaby, she kicks her enemies well. Her look is original too. I like her red hair and ponytail. She doesn't look dull, she is fantastic. Red hair rules!
 
May, because it's nice to see a strong female character in this show for once, one who is determined to overcome impossible odds to achieve her dream. That, and her entire Contest story arc has been incredible. The writers put more time and effort into May's story than Ash's in AG, his Gyms almost pale in comparison.

I like characters who actually grow and develop overtime. I don't like characters who turn into boring backround material and become moving paint in the backround. I like characters who amount to something.

And of course, her personality is fantastic. She's exactly what the show needed to get itself out of its rut, she's made AG so enjoyable pretty much by herself. I think we have a winner here folks, no contest. No pun intended. ;)
 
My favourite by far? Misty/Kasumi of course, if you can't tell by my username. She was by far the most interesting character in the first 2 seasons of Pokémon and her temper was amusing and funny. Even though that faded in Johto, she still keeps a bit of it and it shows sporadically. Not to mention how much she has matured over the seasons, which is a good thing too.

Then I would say Morty: because he's mysterious and he's damn sexy. ;D

My favorite character of all time is Clair, the hot, incredible, beautiful, adorable, admirable, incredible gymleader of Blackthorn City/Fusube. I love everything about her except how unconsistant she was animated.
My main character favorite is Misty, then Max and Kenji
Misty: it's been explained above.
Max: he's adorable and cute. I hope he gets a Pokemon soon. I'll write a summary of why I like him so much sometime.
Kenji: he's cute and was one of my very first favorite characters
My favorite Team Rocket member is Cassidy and Domino.
And my favorite other characters are Liza, Chigusa, and others that I will mention in "Crystal Clair's Favorite Pokemon characters" that will come out in I have know clue what year cuz this girl keeps changing her mind
 
((Points at avatar then at sig)) Obviously, my favorite is Nagi, i.e. Winona. Her dedication to her job (PokeSpecial) and her specialty (Anime) is something that sets her apart from the normal bossy leader type of characters. Yet they don't try to "balance" that out by pouring scenes that make her like a high school girl (unlike an Inuyasha character I can mention).
 
You know, I'd be more inclined to believe he is your favorite character if you spelled his name right. It's "Imakuni?".

My favorite character is Harley, and all I will say is that he's fabulous.

My favorite character is Ash of course!! ^_^

I love him so much!!!! <3


Anyway, I basically like him for all of these great reasons:

- he's the main character (obviously)

- I adore his cool black hair, his beatiful brown eyes, and those unique Z-marks under his eyes

- he's one of the best Pokemon trainers out there, if not the best

- he never gives up on his ultimate goal, and tries as hard as he can in both life and Pokemon battles so that he can one day become a Pokemon Master

- he cares for his Pokemon and his friends very much, and he'd do anything to protect them from danger

- he goes out of his way to do great things for people, even random people that he meets on his journey (character-of-the-days, basically)

- and finally, he's sweet, kind, nice, caring, brave, handsome, funny, confident and just an all around great guy who I'd give anything to meet in real life
 
Um, what Pie said. :) I guess you wouldn't like to share...;) I think I've done my gushing in the Brock club thread, so no need to repeat it here.

And then Roxanne's another solid favorite, which is of course why I like pairing her with Brock. I never saw the Johto arc so unfortunately can't really comment on characters from it.

Finally, I agree that Duplica was fun.

But Brock is my obsession. Really. If only more guys could be so perfect.

Jesse is the person I'm most like ... with the only other alternative being Misty.

I like the entire J&J team, however.

And I've always admired Misty since Jesse got sick and James was looking for that little herb and Misty gave it to them. Hardly anyone is nice to TR, including our 'hero' Ash (who always will believe them to be 1-D villains), so I give props to Misty for her compassion.

I can't decide who'd make a better husband for me: James or Brock.
