Yeah, the title is intentional.
For something a bit more logical...
Okay, so we've got six horses. Apollo, Beauty, Charmer, Dazzler, Enchanter, Fascinator.
Six jockeys that rode them in the race are Geyer, Harmon, Ivers, Jason, Klinger, and Lehmann.
The people hired to train them are (last names) Manning, Newman, Oster, Pauling, Quell, and Raymond.
Their owners are (again, last names) Sampson, Tuller, Ulrich, Viner, Werner, and Yolder.
Their colors are amber, black, chestnut, grey, tan, and white.
The places where they each last raced are Arlington, Belmont, Churchill Downs, Hialeah, Pimlico, and Santa Anita.
And finally, obviously, they each came in a different position in today's race (they were the only six though).
So... the point is to find out everything about each horse with this info:
-Beauty came in ahead of the horse trained by Newman, but behind Tuller's.
-Charmer, as well as the black horse and the one that came in fourth usually like to work out together.
-Pauling, the jockey for the horse she trained, Jason, Geyer, and Apollo's jockey all went bowling two days ago.
-The horse that raced at Churchill Downs beat the chestnut horse, but came behind the one trained by Newman.
-Dazzler's owner refused to sell him to Werner OR Ulrich even though they both offered him a fair price.
-the tan horse beat both Tuller's horse (who didn't last race at Belmont), and the horse which last raced at Hialeah.
-Oster and the trainers of Enchanter, Werner's horse, and the grey horse discussed pooling their monies to by their own horse.
-Apollo, Beauty, and Charmer are all temperamental, but the horses ridden by Harmon, Ivers, and Lehmann are all easy to handle.
-Yolder, Viner, and Sampson are part of the same sorority.
-The amber horse came ahead of both the white and grey horses, but behind the black one.
-Ulrich told Fascinator's owner that he thought the horse which last raced at Hialeah is more handsome than either of theirs, but not as dependable as theirs or the horse which Manning trained.
-Werner and the owners of Apollo, Beauty, and Fascinator compared diets. Werner said he wanted to lose some weight, but the others all said they wanted to gain some.
-The owner of the horse ridden by Klinger said he was going to discharge the trainer and try to hire either Newman or Enchanter's trainer.
-Niether Viner's horse, Yolder's, or the horse which last raced at Hialeah finished last today.
-The horses which finished first and last today are both hard to handle.
-The horse ridden by Jason didn't finish last today.
-Geyer said the owner of the horse he rode today told him she was pleased with the way the horse was handled today, and that both he and the trainer (not Quell or Raymond) are to receive bonuses.
-Viner's horse, which has never been ridden by Harmon, raced last at Pimlico.
-The horse trained by Quell, which isn't Apollo, has never raced at Belmont or Santa Anita.
-The owner of the horse Ivers rode today said he's planning a vacation with his family.
-Yolder would like to hire either Quell or Manning, but both prefer to work with the horses they're already training.
-The horse Manning trains isn't tan.
Have fun... I love these. This is actually the only one I can think of that's ever stumped me, I've seen bigger.
