I don't know about any of you, but growing up, the Power Rangers were an enormous part of my childhood. I watched it every day as a little kid, right up until season five or six. Even now, if there's an episode on TV, and I come across it, I'll watch it if just for the nostalgia. Anyone else remember this series?

I used to love watching "Power Rangers" from the first ever episode until they started to replace all the orginal cast with new faces, then I lost interest.

What do you mean, remember? It's been on the air for like 20 years in the US and something like 30 years in Japan. : p

I used to watch it as a child alot, but it got banned from our house for a long time as people in the school I went to when I was 4-6 were imitating them and getting hurt and my parents did not want that happening to me.

I watch it at times for nostalga too

Truth be told, I never got into Power Rangers. However, I remember for my sixth or seventh birthday, my cousins got me "Day of the Dumpster" (the first episode) on VHS. I saw it a few times, but my parents forbid me from watching it, and I have no idea what happened to it.

I saw a few episodes when I was young, but never paid any attention to it until "Mystic Force" went on. Sadly, I watched the whole season.

Do I remember it? If you ask me who Johnny Yong Bosch is, this is the first thing I'm bound to point out rather than a voice over role.

Yeah, I remember it but then again, it's still around. I drifted out of Power Rangers after Power Rangers in Space. Though I ended up watching it now and then (In particular, Dino Thunder because a certain someone showed up in that series and a two parter last season because of Johnny Yong Bosch).

I loved that show soooooo much. Power Rangers (the original) was so awesome.

I used to love the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers, it was like my favorite show ever from ages 5--7 =p

When I was a kid I went crazy over it. It was the new Ninja Turtles for me so I remember imitating it and everything. (I think I remember imitating Dragonball as well, but they didn't have as much Dragonball stuff to buy at the time) I even had one of those "Morphing Time" power watches that you got from Discovery Zone. (It was a place like Chuck Cheese, but bigger and more ball zone/tunnel/park area. I remember it was neat because it had a long rope slide over a ball pit) My favorite rangers were the Black and Green/White rangers. I also saw the movie in theaters. I stopped watching around the time they replaced the blue ranger with the little kid. I just thought he was too loud and I wasn't into trucks enough.

I did watch it a little from time to time (like one or two episodes per season occasionally). I thought the series was basically a soap opera for kids. I did like Ninja Storm and Mystic Force (Not to the jumping around level when I was a kid but I enjoyed them a lot. Mainly because the gimmicks of Ninjas and Magic, but also because it wasn't so serious. I thought some of the Drama in the space series were silly)

I recall how everyone was paranoid about Power Rangers when it first came out. Man, it was the Harry Potter of its time.

Funny how all the kids who were allegedly going to be turned into violent psychopaths watching the show are now pretty well adjusted for the most part. Why oh why haven't the Soccer Moms noticed this?

This got moved to General Silliness? I figured it was pretty geeky...

I still keep current with Power Rangers. The first series was awesome.
The newer series do a surprising amount to keep in line with Power Rangers traditions.

I rememer. I used to watch it when I was like... 5 years old...:drowsy:

I had a MMPR poster on my closet door as a little kid and dressed up as one for at least two Halloweens. 8D I always considered myself a big fan of the early seasons, but when I checked out some character pages and such on Wikipedia a few months ago I didn't recognize any of the plotlines or characters and realized I didn't pay as much attention to it as I thought I did. XD

I kind of remember it. I remember having a thing for Billy and Tommy. I remember this pig monster, Goldar, Rita Repulsa, Alpha, and the freaky-looking command center (or whatever it was called) that had Zordon in it. That show was crazy.

We also had Power Ranger dolls whose heads we would knock against the floor because it made an interesting sound. :D Their bodies were soft and their heads were hard. They were a challenge to make stand up because of that, but we did. I also remember action figures.

The Ivan Ooze movie was crazy, too.

Lol, I had a power ranger doll... but it might not be the same one (I don't remember it making a sound). Also, you reminded me, I never admitted it as a little kid, but I was always kind of creeped out by Zordon. (I know he was essentially the wizard from the wizard of Oz, but even in his regular form he was a creepy blue dude to me)

I remember having a dream (as a little kid) where the power rangers finally defeated Rita Repulsa and Lord Zed and it was revealed that Zordon and Alpha were more like rival gang members clearing out the competition as they then proceeded to destroy the power rangers and take over the earth. Scary stuff. For serial.

I mean the sound of their hard plastic heads smacking against the hard floor was interesting and... different. The dolls themselves didn't make a sound.

Ah, Lord Zedd. I don't really remember him (he married Rita?! o_O), but I do remember his brain showing. I think my brother had a Lord Zedd doll (someone did). His head wasn't hard.

Hey, look what I found. (Though the actual entry is worksafe, some of the replies and avatars therein aren't.)

I watched the shopw almost religiously when I was little up to Turbo came out. Then I'd usually catch random episodes of that. Then I storta got back during In Space up to Time Force. Then watched the Forever Red episode just because of the return of Tommy and Jason. Then I watched all of Dino Thunder. Now I'm back to watching the episodes on occasion.

Kimberly was always my favorite girl Ranger. I still have a carboard stand-y thing of the Pink Ranger on the wall of my room and I really wanted to be a gymnast, but I had bad shoulders.

I'm curious, who is YOUR favorite ranger of the past?

Tommy was my favorite. I watched power rangers all the way up to SPD. Then Mystic Force got it lame, Overdrive made things even worse so I stopped. Now I just watch Jungle Fury if I happen to see it on and I'm bored
