Since Generation V is all about polar opposites, and Ash's anime traveling party has the necessary 3 people to fill the slots of Truth, Ideals, and Wuji, who would you place in these positions, Ash-Iris-Clian, Ash-Cilan-Iris, Iris-Ash-Cilan, Iris-Cialn-Ash, Cilan-Ash-Iris, or Cilan-Iris-Ash?(This is not a poll.)

What? I like it the way it is. Thank you very much.

You seem to be confused. The thread isn't trying to change the anime or the characters in any way; it's just asking who you think would best resemble the three philosophies.

As for my opinion, I would say that Ash would be ideals as he believes firmly in his method of raising and treating Pokémon (as shown against Paul). I would say that Cilan gets Truth as he reveals the truth about the bond between a person and their Pokémon (he doesn't spare their feelings if its a bad match). As for Iris, I don't particularly think she would take the position of Wuji but I don't think the others would either, so she gets it by default as the others are matched.

Cilan represents truth, for the same reason Harem Master Taiki listed, kyu. Iris would represent ideals, for her firm beliefs, stubbornness, and her goal of evolving Axew, kyu.

And Ash, being the Ego of the trio, is also Wuji, kyu.

I think I'd go with Cilan being Ideals (since he's kind of an optimistic guy), Iris as Truth (since she's kinda cynical and snarky), and Ash would be Balance (rather and Wuji) since he's kinda in between the other two. It would work with a different line-up, though.

Please take the age of this thread into consideration in writing your reply. Depending on what exactly you wanted to say, you may want to consider if it would be better to post a new thread instead.
