This is a short story that I thought of in one day while at Fort Jackson. Inspired by my brother, it's about two boys and their lives. You'll get to read two different sides to the story.

And if you're a friend of mine here, remember that I put a ton of reality in my fantasy.

There was once a boy. He was born with many self riches. He had good looks and great charisma. And he was handed everything he wanted. But he was still not satisfied. For others had things he wanted too. So his purpose in life was to live as happy as can be.

He did anything to be content. He avoided work and found delights. He always wanted things that cost money, so
he took valuable artifacts to a black market and used the money to buy his happiness.

Those who upset him by a bit were destined to be taken down by the boy. He did anything to achieve his goal. He found his school honey, sold more valuables, and lived his lazy life.

But time passed, and he got older, and eventually settled down with his family in a beautiful valley. He lived his life fully happy and fulfilled.

Now an old man, he sat in his bedroom watching television. He was planning to go outside, for it was the first time in a century that snow fell in his hometown. But all of a sudden, a fairy appeared before him.

"I am looking for both the happiest man and the saddest man." she said. "You are the happiest man. I will now give you a choice. I am willing to send you back. Relive your life, if you are willing to do so."

"I accept." he responded.

"Would you like to retain all you memories of this life?" she asked.

"No." he answered quickly. "My life was the best life ever. Everything was a suprise, and I would love to have it as suprising and happily as it was for the first time. So I do not want to remember it all. I want the experience to be new."

"Very well." she said. She then clapped her hands, and the man was instantly gone.

"Even with your memories," she started, "the experience would be new to you like you asked..."

----------------------------------------

There was once a boy. He was a boy with simple desires. He was easy to satisfy, for he was a lover and not a fighter. He was shy, and he wanted things so rarely. He was a child perfect for relaxation.

But as he got older, he became more sad.
He had much stolen from him. He couldn't find happiness, for someone else always had to take it from him like a parasite. Always.

As time went by, he became more tired and silent. His self-confidence was crushed, making him unable to find a love of his life. And that made him worse. His friends left him for he had grown too depressed to even communicate. He was so down, that his eyes and soul became darker than the absence of light. He was left alone for the rest of his life.

He became the old, lonely, saddened man that his past sculpted him to be. He was worse than the most motionless statue, even though his heart was filled with unreturned love. He did nothing with his final days but sit alone on the front of his house. He was expecting the next day to be more pleasant, for the weather channel said that it would snow for the first time in a century that day. But something unexpected happened. A fairy appeared before him.

"I am looking for both the happiest man and the saddest man." she said. "You are the saddest man. I will now give you a choice. I am willing to send you back. Relive your life, if you are willing to do so."

With a bright flame arising in his eyes, he spoke. "I'll do it!" he responded.

"Would you like to retain all you memories of this life?" she asked.

The man had risen from his chair and hugged the fairy. "Please." he said, softly.

"Have fun reshaping it all..." the fairy said. She then stepped back and clapped her hands.

And the next thing the man knew, he was a 5-year-old boy again. Back with his family in that old house years ago. Mentally, he was the same, but now with ambition. He went into the kitchen and headed straight for the knife. Once he grabbed it, he saw the boy who would become the happiest man in the distance.

"You cruel soul!" he thought in his head. "You took it all away from me! All those items and feelings from others should've been shared with me! But you had to get it all. You had to crush my spirits and immobilize me! Well now I have a new chance! I will now take action! Not you! I was your powerhouse, but now, without me, you will suffer! There's no one to depend on anymore, brother!"

He then tossed the knife in the air, and caught it in a reversed state instead. And without thinking twice, he drove it straight into his heart and pulled it back out, leaving his blood to fall endlessly. He fell to the floor to die, but before his life was gone, he spoke his final words.

"For the first time in my life, I actually got what I wanted..."
