Who should Ash travel with in the next region?

Personally, I think that Delia would be hilarious for like an episode or two, just to mess with people.

But I'd like to see May and Gary, and Brock as well (gotta love brock). Those are my two favorite non-Ash major characters,

Definitely Misty.She had the best chemistry and character interaction with the group in my opinion and her return would make this show more interesting than it is now.
Not to mention that way she could make further progress toward her goal competing in somekind of water type pokemon competitions or something similar.

She is a character left with lot of untapped potential,whose story is left unfinished in many ways and its a sad thing that she was taken out in the first place.

It's "who should", not "who will". It's just a "fantasy draft" for those who want to see some particular kind of line up amongst the group. I fail to see how this thread could be any more pointless than something like, "At what episode number do you think the Sinnoh League will start?", as if some speculation or random estimate is going to confirm anything.

Anyway, on topic, I want Ash to travel with them all, so I selected each and every person.

No, but seriously, a cool line up for me would be: Ash, Brock, and Gary. Give Ash his league business, Brock move over to Contests or some kind of Breeder league bit, and then Gary become the "part time journey" character through his research, BUT, playing a large role nonetheless by training with Ash and showing he's still got the moves (maybe even competing in the League?) And if there were to be a fourth, May would be pretty awesome.

I just figure its fairly obvious the 5th gen girl will be part of the show next generation, so I don't bother to speculate on stuff like this.

I don't see any of the older characters returning bar a few cameos here and there, and Gary could have technically been part of the group in DP, but since the writers didn't do it this saga it likely won't happen.

Why do people want to bring older characters back? All it does is get us stuck in the past when a long-running show like this should be focussing on keeping things fresh.

I'd like to see Max and Tracey traveling together, but I'll never get that. XP

I want to see some new people replacing both Brock and Dawn. Maybe both the hero and heroine from Gen V? That could be cool. Though I guess Ash would have to learn to not be so lost when a Pokemon is ill first. That wouldn't happen. Poop.

Sounds like a funny scenario, though. Just add Professor Oak, Drew, Harley, Kenny, Zoey, Ritchie, Todd and a whole bunch of supporting characters and as many as you can fit in the screen at the same time. Then again, with Ritchie and Todd it would most likely be horrible...

Anyway, while I doubt that any of those mentioned (apart from Brock) will appear, this thread isn't about that, anyway. Personally, I wouldn't mind seeing Gary traveling with Ash for a short while. He still needs to demonstrate that he's better than Ash in everything and it would also be a good opportunity to showcase his numerous Pokémon more, and it would give him more character development.

Any of these is fine, really, even Delia, just as long as Max isn't there.
