THIS IS NOT A SHIPPER THREAD


All this is, is to help discuss which of the females that Ash has travelled with over the years did he seem to have the least issues with or the most excitement with. I do this because i can't help but think about how Ash's adventures in Kanto - Johto with Misty compare with his travels through Hoenn - Battle Frontier with May or his journey through Sinnoh with Dawn.



So who gave him the most trouble?



Who did he seem the most friendliest with?



And with whom did he face the most intense situations?

Yeah - Ash doesn't choose favorites. Everyone is equal and enjoyable in his eyes, so long as they love Pokemon.
 
Dawn and Ash never really got into a fight but did have their Disagreements just like all the other companions, So it hard to choose but I'll say Dawn.
 
This seems more like a "Shipper" topic, but I suppose it isn't "romantic" more of friendship. So, I'm not sure who it would be.

I'd say Misty. Iris may frequently call Ash a kid (but that's slowly going away), but he's not flustered by it. Whenever Misty called Ash out for acting childish (which he usually deserved back in Kanto), he'd get pretty ticked.

I'm not saying they were closer friends than Ash was with any of his other female traveling companions, but I felt like he had the least amount of arguments with Dawn.

And with whom did he face the most intense situations?

Again, I'd have to say Dawn. It's mainly because DP was really the only region with seriously threatening villains (Team Galactic and Hunter J). Teams Aqua and Magma didn't appear much throughout AG, and Team Rocket didn't do much in OS either.

I don't see why it would be - the OP is asking who he enjoyed being with more, not if the characters had romantic feelings for them.

Then again, don't those go hand-in-hand? :p

That was an entirely legitimate and pertinent question. I'm asking what differentiates this thread from the plethora of other threads in this forum talking about traveling companions and Ash's depression, while apparently not entering the realm shipping.

I'm going toward may mostly because I don't remember them fighting one on one.
 
He was happier with Giselle. Just look at him:

I really don't know if I can answer that question, shipping aside.
If it's purely friends than I think he probably liked them all equally. I think he had a different kind of affection for each one.

With Misty - Love, Hate
With May - Brotherly affection maybe?
With Dawn - Mutual affection
With Iris - Love, Hate (Like Misty)

I would agree that out of the 4 so far I would say he had closest to a brother/sister relationship with May, which is weird because Max and Brock were off having their own like brotherly relationship.
