No one knows, it hasn't been revealed.

It is most likely to be Ariana/Athena, though, in my opinion.

But, IMO, Ariana is most likely his wife or 'ex' possibly.

But my statement entirely goes against my WisdomShipping hopes.
 
You know it could have been a one-night stand and Ariana is just Silver's mother.
 
i don't think we'll ever find out who silver's mother is/was. (i personally don't believe in the athena theory. it makes sense, and yet i can't help but think that of her as a red herring in this mystery (no pun intended)) i mean, think of all the other absent parents in pokemon. mostly absent fathers, yes, but there's also janine & roark, neither of whose mothers are known. i am of the mindset that silver's mother died a while back (quite possibly in childbirth, but that's just me & my crazy depressing headcanon) and that all this speculating is naught but folly 8(

Silver is actually Giovanni's genetically altered clone. He always wanted red hair, so he gave his clone that feature.
 
Giovanni? Married?! Can't imagine it.

Though he most likely had an affair with Athena/Ariana that lasted a few years.
 
So? It could've been random genetics! I'd beleive he was married to Jessie before I beleive the whole Arianna thing lol!
 
You don't have to be married to get kids...

But I have no idea, and I don't really care.
 
I personally go for Athena, Delia, or Lorelei.

Though I can't really imagine him marrying any of them. One-night stand or whatever sounds more like Gio.
 
Before Ginovanni became the leader of Team Rocket, he was a pretty normal guy. Liked to go to the club, have a few drinks, try to meet some women. The same with Delia, Seaking (You see what I did there?) a man. They eventually met. They got married and had a child (Silver), but at birth Giovanni had to go take over his own mother's role and become the leader of Team Rocket, taking Silver with him. Giovanni promised Delia he'd come back, but he couldn't. So they divorced and spent one more night together; stuff went down and he left forever. Delia was so depressed she burned everything that reminded her of him and started fresh. Then she realized she was about to have a baby. The only way she'd remember Giovanni was to name her child Ash (from the ashes of all the belongings).

LOL, I can't believe I just thought of that.
 
I've honestly never believed Athena was Silver's mom, especially since she seemed to have been a teenager in HGSS.

It seems like a good idea for a fanfiction though. One night stand angst.

It's probably a character we haven't seen yet.
