Who will be Ash new rival?

How are you guys? it been a long time for my final new thread.

After being student in the school in Sun and Moon, Do you think that there is a new pokemon leauge, and there is a new rival for Ash?

To me, it looks loike that until now, then there is no rival, but we still have to wait

I'm holding onto the hope that Hau shows up and becomes Ash's friendly rival, then Gladion becomes his serious rival. Gladion would make a good rival for Ash.

I hate them both. I can't imagine, I mean I can't accept that the one of most beautiful girls in this season Miss "Lillie" had a brother like Gladion. And About Hau, I didn't like his personality, and if you ask me, then the best rival is he girl who we chosed as player

I'd like to say Gladion, but chances are he's probably going to be working for Team Skull just like in the games. So unless the writers come up with a decent story, Gladion could end up becoming Alain v.2 (which isn't necessarily a bad thing imo but still, I would like Gladion to take a different route)

I don't mind Hau as the rival. I'd love the cute and easy-going Hau as a major rival.

Chances are he will still be kind of a hired muscle for Team Skull, though I am hoping he doesn't become as OP as Alain ever was. We know he'll show up eventually since a picture of him as a child was shown and it could only be a matter of time if they can start moving Ash's Island Challenge along.

I think the bigger issue is if any of this is going to matter in the end. By convention the rivals will only get written out at the end of the saga, making their appearance pointless filler. Not even Gary meant anything in the end--Ash's rivals just come and go, making these rivalries completely pointless and unnecessary.

How can this be fixed?
