I was thinking about this a bit and I realized we sorta never had a full battle between them. So I was thinking, if they could use all of the Pokemon they ever had for more than one episode, who would win.

Somehow I believe Jessie would win, seeing how most of her pokes has a type advantage against James. That and they have a lot of good attacks compared to his Pokemon.

I think Jessie would win.But they could never have a full battle.Just think how much trouble will they cause to the tuirps if they had 12 combined Pokemon :D

James most probably would forfeit halfway through the battle, being the Pokemon-loving sensitive guy he is.

His Pokemon would be too busy eating his head, so Jessie could win while that happens.

Technically it would be Musashi, but I can see the writers making some stupid thing (like in the Princess vs. Princess ep) and let Kojiro win.

I say it'll be a draw. Kojiro does have better battling sense, but Musashi has obviously improved a lot. It just doesn't seem right to have one win over the other.

I think Jessie would win because she has more experience battling.

James probably. Jessie usually loses control of herself while James has more of a general trainer style.

Although if this is based on their current Pokemon, Jessie would probably win. James has Carnivine and Mime Jr. Vs. Seviper, Yanmega and Wobbufett?

Maybe if James could use his old Pokes...

I'd say Jessie has the strongest Pokémon, current and of all time, but James is a bit more level headed. It could go either way, but I'm guessing Jessie would win.

That is one of the conditions posted by the thread creator.

Tough call. I'd love to say James. Jessie's been more focused on Contests rather than tried-and-true Pokemon Battles, but I don't doubt that her experience in those situations would be of use.

Jessie's Pokemon seem to have a wider variety of attacks, too. Arbok, Yanma, and Dustox all have big diversity. Lickitung was certainly a wild conteder. Wobuffet would be vicious if played right.

If they can use all their pokémon they have left somewhere and they can get back (read: cacnea, chimecho, weezing and arbok), James would probably win. Else Jessie

Yeah, if they could use any Pokemon they ever had, Jessie would still win. CHer Pokemon has a lot of better moves than James.

This.

In terms of raw power and general improvement, Musashi would obvious pwn (lol, Arbok vs Chirean, Habunake vs Manene :p) but she's a nutter and would completely lose it. Kojiro's got a better head for strategy and probably better knowledge (he has his cards of course, whereas Musashi tried to get Habunake to use Sacred Fire not that long ago xD). Therefore, they'd draw.

Definitely Jessie. Most of James' pokemon (especially Mime Jr. and Chimecho) are not suited for battling. Wobbuffet, on the other hand, can use Counter/Mirror Coat to basically pwn (since in anime, the attack is countered prior to be hit). Even then, Jessie has plenty of poison and bug types in her disposal. James' grass types will not do much damage against them.

Jessie's got far stronger Pokemon than James. To be honest, the latter has always got those Pokemon which you would rather associate with girls. (No insult intended! @female bulbagarden-users)
But James is definitely much smarter and he's alread proved that he would be a remarkable and skilled trainer if he only had the right friends and the chance to live as a Pokemon Trainer.
Jessie's two contest wins were rather random considering how often she lost in the past i.e. in Hoenn and Kanto.

Well, I wouldn't bet on James winning that fictitious battle but nevertheless, I'd be rooting for him rather than for Jessie if I had to decide.

What does his friends have to do with anything? And it's not like he doesn't have the chance, he just doesn't want to.

They weren't random since she had been showing improvement for awhile.

I'm actually surprised so many people think Musashi would win. I figured it'd be Kojiro by a landslide.

Uh, he does. Musashi and Nyasu (as proven by his sadness at them leaving him and his desperate attempt to get them back in DP 117) are his best friends ever and he can't live without him. Not that it's got much do to do with anything, but just saying.

I figured people would go for Musashi - after all, she does have the "stronger" pokes. As I said, Arbok and Habunake vs Chirean and Manene mightn't be much of a fight :p

Well, I've got the impression that James could achieve great things if Jessie and Meowth wouldn't keep him from becoming good. Don't get me wrong, by now means do I want Team Rocket to disband, but I can't get rid of the feeling that Jessie and Meowth somehow are a millstone around James's neck.
But on the other hand, I couldn't imagine James traveling around with Ash, Dawn and Brock, either.

Anyway, go James go! You can beat her!

They're not keeping Kojiro from becoming anything. Like ii kanji said, he can't live without those two.

You only watch the dub, right? Wait until Noodles: Roamin' Off airs August 1st. I think you might change your mind on some things.
