Who would you cast to voice the characters?

If they animated whatever manga, who would you want to hear as the characters? Would the gameverse characters have the same voices they have on the show? How would that affect characters who appear in multiple manga?

Me, I can't read anything with Giovanni without hearing his lines in Ted Lewis's voice. Including PokeWake (hey, the guy also voiced Tracey. He could probably pull off a 9-year-old Giovanni).

I keep thinking Koya from DPA should be voiced by Derek Steven Prince, specifically using his Ken Ichijouji voice.

And I get a touch of the "someone Mark Hamill should play" vibe from Specialverse Lance, although I'm not sure if it's because he was Luke or because he was Joker.

For Mitsumi, the voice of Tashigi from the One Piece dub just rings in my head.


Speaking of OP VAs, the guy who plays Usopp would make an ideal Uranus (you know, the swollen-butt grunt), and Luffy's voice actress would handle Hareta beautifully.

The first one that popped into my head is Yumiko Kobayashi as Hareta from DPA. She does a great young energetic boy voice, and I think I've been unconsciously reading Hareta as her since the beginning.

When it comes to Special... I'd honestly have the voice actors for Satoshi, Shigeru, Haruka, etc. to play the roles of Red, Green, Sapphire, etc. For the Japanese version.

- Masako Nozawa would make a great Japanese voice for Red. In English I'd say Peter Kelamis would do a damn good job voicing him. Or Matt Hill.
