Recently I saw a picture of a baby Lugia, I thought it was fan-made art. But after some research I found out it was in the Anime. So how can this be when lugia is gender-less?? Thanks for answering and if you have the Link to the baby Lugia Episode I would really appreciate it. :D

A large amount of the game's genderless Pokemon, excluding Legendaries, are capable of breeding with Ditto in game, so lack of gender is not a barrier to reproduction in and of itself. Likewise, there are gendered Pokemon that cannot breed in the games. Neither of these make sense in the 'real' world that the anime portrays.

You could make a lot of theories about how - perhaps in the Anime there are male and female Lugia, but they are just not identified yet by the researchers; perhaps some Ditto can do it; perhaps it involves Ho-oh - it's never gone into (eggs appearing still shock the Day Care couples, so it's not surprising) so there's no actual explanation.

The episodes air on rotation on Pokemon.com, starting with this one, not sure when it will next be available for viewing.

The whole "legendaries are genderless thing" is just a game mechanic put in place to prevent you from breeding an army of Myuutwo or whatever. It wouldn't make any sense for the TV series to bind themselves with the same rule.

Legendaries being unique is not a game mechanic. If they're essentially immortal creatures (they don't die unless unavoidable danger befalls them), they have no reason to reproduce, and it also stands to reason that they wouldn't breed with other species (so if they were born unique, they would stay that way). And let's just say that the anime only disproved the immortality hypothesis in Latios' case, so aside from that case (where Latias and Latios can logically breed), I have yet to see a point to multiple legendaries. It only serves to make the distinction between "legendary" and "powerful" a very blurry one.

personally I don't really mind having a few of each legendary, as long as they're still extremely rare and only very few of them exist... the only pkmn I could never accept having more than 1 of was Mewtwo - it was created by humans and supposedly all these involved in its creation were killed, except for Giovanni who got his memory wiped... yet Movie 16 disproved me on this with having a brand new Mewtwo, something I consider one of the worst mistakes the pkmn anime ever did, it was just stupid (even more so when the new Mewtwo barely had any backstory explained and the little we were told is painfully similar to the original one)

I also hate the "genderless" thing... the original Mewtwo is clearly male while the new one is clearly female... also I found it extremely stupid Meloetta is "genderless" and not female only (when other legendaries like Latias and Cresselia could be female only)
The anime also treated Meloetta as a female, so I guess it's not bound to the game rules about that (although they did for the first time ever refer to genderless being a thing in the Rotom ep in DA when Oak said Rotom is not male and not female either)

It's a bit of a mess, like many things in pkmn, the whole breeding issue is confusing cause not only certain genderless pkmn can breed while other gendered pkmn cannot, you have things like Nidorina and Nidoqueen being unable to breed when they're obviously the female counterparts and breeding partners of Nidorino and Nidoking... (did they fix this in XY, btw? I guess no but I didn't bother to try it... also never tried to check if they fixed Azuril's chance to change its gender upon evolving...)
