why arnt there ethers and elixers for sell?

This has been on the top of my mind for three weeks its very stange that you can only find ethers and elixers. I mean you dont they sell em I think it whould be better really I mean you whould have to pay more I think. But it whould be more connvinet for the traveling trainer what do you guys think should they sell em in stores or is this alright the way it is?

For the same reason thatm PPups aren't for sale. Battles aren't supposed to be that long, and, besides, Blizzard + Horn Drill + Fissure + Whirlpool is not as frightening as Mirror Move + Wing Attack + Fly + Hyper Beam.

They're not sold because they're useless for anything except selling to in-game stores.
In game: I NEVER run out of PP for anything unless it's with one of the 5 PP moves, or if I'm facing something that's stalling way too damn much(which is strange, actually more of an anomly, for in-game opponents). If you run out of PP a lot, reconsider your choice of moves. If I'm REALLY in a pinch, Leppa Berries do just fine.
Against other people - You can't use them anyway.

In-game, you might ever only need to restore PP in the Elite 4. There's basically no other time where you can't retreat to a PokeCenter or adaquately conserve PP. Should they sell them? It'd make life easier. Do they need to? No, the few that you pick up are more than sufficient.

It would make the game too easy, although, it is already easy enough to beat it.(And yet, I still can't beat the emerald elite four )

I would agree with the suggestion that they are mostly useless outside of long battles. Unless you don't like using Pokemon Centers. I could see that. I try not to go to often. They might also be useful in long caves and paths, though. I hate getting half way through a cave and then having to leave and come back. That doesn't happen enough to warrent selling them, though.

I seldom use them. If you do find yourself in need of ethers and elixers and you are an emerald owner, pickup can find these items if the pokemon with Pickup is sufficiently high.

With Ether/Elixir for sale, you could theoretically buy a million of those and a million Max Positions / Revives (or Max Revives, if they sold those too?) and just beat the game with one Pokemon, not needing to train up different Pokemon... Well, I know the problem I face when training just 1 Pokemon (as I am in my Red version at the moment) is that I run out of PP frequently, but often I only take around 5-10% damage by the time that happens since L52 Venusaur with STAB always-CH'ing Razor Leaf owns all these L25'ers, pretty much everything but Golbat...

The only place where they're useful is in the E4, and you can find enough Elixirs throughout the game for it, anyway. In caves, you can run away generally. In Battle Pyramid, where this item is very helpful, too, you don't need to have them available in shops, you find them, again. And for Trainer Tower just use Leppa berries ^_^
