Why can't I get anything from Mr. Goods?

I'm trying to get a Globe from Mr. Goods in Hearthome City, and for some reason, my game isn't letting me get it. According to anything I've read, in order to get it, all you have to do is conduct a trade through the Global Trade Station at least once after it opens. Since he didn't give me the Globe the first time, I figured maybe I was supposed to talk to him first, before trading through the GTS.

Anyway, I just traded a Hippopotas for a Chimchar through the GTS, and Mr. Goods *still* won't give me a Globe for my secret base.

Could someone please tell me what's going on here?

Not to completely ignore your question, but shouldn't this be in the "Simple Questions" sticky thread?

I would recommend trying another trade to be honest and see if that fixes it.

Yeah, it should be, but most new members make individual topics anyway, it's annoying.

I'm pretty sure the reason you are not getting the globe because the GTS doesn't activate it. I've never traded with the GTS and I have obtained the Globe from Goods.

What I have done, however, is traded and battled with someone with the use of the Wi-fi Club i.e the lower floor of the Pokémon Center. I'm sure you only have to do one of the two, however, to get the Globe.

So yeah, theres your solution. Add someone to your Pal Pad and trade or something with them in the WFC.

Bulbapedia says it. You have to connect to Wi-Fi, not necessarily the GTS. Then talk to him. He'll give you the globe. I did it by entering the GTS and leaving, then talking to the guy.
