Why did you join the forums?

I used to play a chat game where you played as a dog, and they had these forums where I practically lived. Both the forums and the game got taken down, though, and I didn't really have anywhere to go in terms of online... places. I already knew about Bulbapedia, and I found out there were forums connected to it, so I joined. It was around the time X and Y came out, and I've been here ever since :p
 
It was a post at the Trading Station for a Kyogre with a certain nature and IVs so I can use in a tournament. :ROFLMAO: The funny thing is, I almost never participate in Pokemon-related threads anymore.
 
There was a McDonald's Hoopa event and I had a question about the process of acquiring one, since it was my first Pokemon event. I'd been using Bulbapedia since X/Y came out but I couldn't find the info on Hoopa's page on the pedia, so I googled the question and I stumbled upon these forums. I didn't even post an intro thread; just went into the thread about the event and then was told by the system I needed to make an account to post, which I did. While all this was happening I figured out the answer to my question on my own, but when the page loaded I saw someone else had posted a question and I knew the answer so I answered it.

Not sure why I eventually ended up staying. Usually forums aren't my thing (as evidenced by the fact that I don't post much anymore), but judging from the badge I don't think the Discord is gonna be able to get rid of me anytime soon. :ROFLMAO: toobadsosad, y'all are stuck with me now
 
I joined because I wanted to take part in the Pokémon Ultra RPG. I couldn't really find my groove so I stopped that, but I decided to stick around here and the rest is history.
 
I got fed up with Serebii Forums and had been lurking on here for a while anyway, so I decided to migrate. I have much preferred it here.
 
I started playing my old GBA games when I moved (didn't have anything better to do) and started referencing Bulbapedia for help/tips. Joined the community here because I needed people to talk to aha.
 
I joined because I disliked Serebii forums (due to rude members), and Pokecharms forums (due to being so inactive), but still wanted to be part of a Pokémon-related forum. Thought this one looked the best so I joined.
 
I joined these forums last year to discuss rumors and leaks about Sun and Moon. Well, that's in the past now and USUM isn't as much hype for me like SM were last year, so nowadays I spend time in the Global Trade Station helping people who need Pokemon and at the same time trying to get Pokemon that I want, especially event ones because I don't have access to those.

I have a ton of legendaries and shinys which I won't be needing so I guess over time I'll be distributing those to the ones in need and can make good use of them.
 
I joined a couple of weeks before the XY release. I didn't know anyone else who played the games, so I ended up here.
 
I joined to trade. I just remember back during B/W I had really gotten into breeding and I had a surplus of Pokémon. So I lurked the GTS, and I ended up joining and hosting a giveaway.
 
I joined to ask questions on a giveaway that Bulbagarden or Bulbapedia (idk) was doing, and decided to stick around. I don't regret it
