Why do some people argue that Copycat's dialogue is not a mimicry of Red's dialogue?

Why do some people argue that Copycat's dialogue is not a mimicry of Red's dialogue? They argue that she's making up words to say. Her name is COPYCAT, so I'm pretty sure the idea was that what she says reflects that Red was speaking to her.

People get weird about silent protagonists. They can't seem to handle the concept that he's only silent because it's assumed by the creator that the player's mind creates dialog whenever necessary. How do people learn your name if you don't tell them? Is everyone psychic? No, you talk. The game just doesn't display the dialog; that doesn't mean it doesn't happen.

Put yourself in any other character's shoes. Kid walks up to you, stares at you but says nothing. "Uhm... can I help you, kid?" "..." "Okay.... I'm going to back away slowly, mute child." It doesn't happen even once in the game, so we can assume Red isn't *actually* mute :)

Put another way, an ellipsis has two uses: one is a silent pause; the other is omitted text. In the case of Red, it's easy enough to know that the latter is in use.

Exactly this.
Gameplay and lore segregation. It has to happen sometimes. It also gets weird sometimes when people insist on justifying gameplay features in-universe. Silent protagonist is a perfect example.

Above two posts are basically /thread. Red isn't mute, period.
