Why do you guys think the writers are purposely holding off on debuting Team Galaxy?

All we've seen of Team Galaxy so far was a brief 5 second scene of them at the end of what I think was the second Pokehunter J episode. Other than that...we're 55 episodes into D/P and they haven't been properly debuted. What exactly are they waiting for?

Team Magma was shown as early as AG2, and Team Aqua got debuted only 10 or so episodes into Hoenn. Why are we 55 episodes into the new series and they haven't made a proper debut yet?

They also skipped a few Galaxy appearances in the games so far, most notable at the windmill part with the Drifloon. So, what exactly do you think the writers are waiting for?

I don't know why they are waiting so long but they proved they plan ahead this time so I don't worry... and that scene proved they'll appear eventually

Or generally because they're building up to something huge and fantastic and really really cool.

The Mewtwo movie was released before Mewtwo started appearing in episodes. They were just pushing the movie's plot backwards with these appearances.

Unless that break they were forced to take for... 3 months? after the seizure incident had something to say in that.

Ah well, doesn't mean they wouldn't be able to do what I thought now, anyway.

And a lot of others that use English names do that mistake
I'm not trying to say them how to refer to TG but just so they'll know that by the English names that they use it's Team Galactic

I have a feeling we'll get something of Galactic in Veilstone, although, I have a gut feeling we might actually see them in Solaceon or between Solaceon and Veilstone. (Solaceon Ruins perhaps?)

Yes. It was in theaters around the time Yamato and Kosanji debuted in the series. Pokeani has airdates for episodes and premiere dates for movies. The Hinamatsuri/Children's day episodes were also aired together as a special episode to celebrate the movie's premiere.

Personally I don't understand why they haven't shown up. If following the games (which AG did more or less with Magma/Aqua) he should have met Mars and Jupiter by now. Hopefull as others have said that means they're planning out how to handle them.

It's a shame, Galaxy-dan is perhaps the best evil force created for the games.

I hope they don't wait *too* long to debut them, but at least we know they'll definitely be in it at some point.

I mean jeez, we have confirmed titles up till D/P 55! That means 1/3rd of D/P is possibly over already!

If Sinnoh goes on for somewhere around 150 episodes...then why did they blow through the first 50 without any proper debut? Are they really saving them for the tail-end, or is Sinnoh going to be the longest saga in the history of the anime yet? I honestly can't see Sinnoh being stretched on for much longer than 150 eps, so it really makes you wonder.

AG was just over 190 episodes. At the moment, DP is 52 episodes and there have only been two badges. At this rate, the Sinnoh League won't even start until after episode 200, longer than the entire AG saga!

I wouldn't be surprised if DP began to get more serious as the Team Galactic story unfolds.

A poorly animated battle with no real resolution that ended in a total anticlimax? Yes. That's epic alright.

They were epic up til the end (which sucked). I hope Ash (or somebody) actually battles Cyrus. At least give them the respect they desreve.

They omitted them in Kotobuki and Sonoh. Instead, they randomly threw them into a filler episode for 5 seconds.

Maybe they're waiting for Tobari? If they'll omit the base, I'll cut the writers's heads. We really need Ginga, all 3 Executives and the Leader. And exactly the same arc, as in the games (you know, Akagi is willing to rebuild the world with the power of Lake Trio). I don't want them to be changed into a wimpy thief gang, like anime's Rocket Group. We need powerful villains, which the anime seriously lacks (especially the DP Series).
